Both teams are coming into this contest with very formidable running attacks. Tiki Barber currently leads the NFL in rushing yards, and has been the real center piece of the NY Giants for the last several years. Dallas has a stingy run D (currently ranked 1st in the NFL, giving up just 67YPG, and 2.9 YPC).

Whoever wins this battle, wins the game. Manning is good, but if the running game isnt there, he will be forced to carry the load.

Henry and Newman matched up very well against BUrress and Toomer last year. Henry's physical presence makes him a good corner back to battle the 6
5" Burress. He needs to step up.

NY is average against the run, ranking 18th in the NFL in total run defense. Allowing a suspect 4.1 YPC, and giving up over 113YPG.

The Pass defense is not much better, sitting comfortably at #17 in the NFL.

Offensively, both teams are very good, with NY sitting 2nd in overall offense, and Dallas at 6th.

Dallas ranks 1 slot behind NY's 3rd ranked rushing attack.

Whoever succesfully stops the other teams rushing attack puts themself in a good position to take this game.

I think defensively, we have the advantage, whihc leads me to believe we will take thsi must win game.

Then again, the prospect of Bledsoe against a good opponent scares me a bit (based on him this year)

i feel both teams will do well running the ball - this game will be decided on those thrid down and 5 or 7 yard conversions. the team that is able to pick those up wins, IMO. with TO getting his timing with Bledsoe more attuned with each practice, I predict a victory for the Cowboys, since I also predict our defense will prevail. Still, I espect both coaches to keep it simple for the most part. Final Cowboys 30 Giants 20.

Remember that Henry was banged up last season with some sort of abdominal / groin tear when we played them the second time in New York. We were up 13-6 last season at Texas Stadium when Shockey ripped off a long reception. We won the game in OT 16-13.

Tiki often burns us, and I am worried about him, and less worried about Eli. Henry and Newman should hold their own against Burress and Toomer.

The key is stopping Tiki.

We are at home, where Bledsoe does well, as long as we don't wear the throwback uniforms.

Dallas wins this big, 35-7.

You must be thinking back to our Super Bowl season where we ROCKED them MNF 35-0

great point. But I think the team that wins the running battle will avoid those 5 and 7 yard conversions. If we can put Eli in a position where he consistantly has to convert 7 or 8 yards, we are in good shape.

Brandon Jacobs is the best Spell Back in football. I love Barber (marion that is), but Jacobs is so big and so quick, its unreal. That was a great pick by NY. NFC East, by far the best coaching in the NFL (well Washington MIGHT hit a second half run like they did last year:lmao2:)
