I've been watching the media all morning saying that the Giants pass rush is going to rough up Romo, that they're going to sack Romo like they did last year...that nothing has changed. One of these so called 'experts' actually had the nuts to say that our offensive line is worse than last year. This is why I normally don't watch any football analysis on tv anymore. These people have no idea what they're talking about.
They're right about one thing, though. The Cowboys offensive line is the key to the game, but not like they think. Oh sure, Romo is going to take his shots. Against that crippled secondary, they'd be crazy not to. But I don't think that will be the main point of attack against the Giants. I think it's going to be Murray. I think the Cowboys are going to run the ball a lot against a team that ranked in the bottom third in run defense last year in an attempt to slow down the pass rush...and when the opportunity presents, throw it deep.
There's also been a lot of talk about the 'elite' Eli Manning, the awesomeness of his two receivers, and lots of hype about their rookie RB. But what nobody on tv is talking about is that the Giants have issues of their own on the offensive line. It's all about how poor the Cowboys line is. Yet it's the Giants who are starting Sean Locklear against Ware. I'm sure they'll give him help, and that's fine, but that help won't come without cost. Anytime you have to cover up a player's weakness like that, it only makes you that much weaker elsewhere.
I don't have a score for you...but I will say this, the Giants will have their hands full trying to stop our offense. A healthy Austin and Bryant against what they're throwing out there in the secondary? I'm lauging my *** off. And if the Giants and their ignorant fans think that this is the same Cowboys team that they shelled in the finale last season, they are in for a very rude awakening...
