Trot-out all the usual excuses: we're evaluating the bottom-feeders, it doesn't count, it doesn't matter, etc.

Psychologically, you just hate to have your team enter the regular season off a discouraging showing on both sides of the ball.

Exactly. That troubling pattern we've seen from years past is still there. We have a couple of solid games and then they lay a complete stinker and look out of sorts. I can understand getting beat but 'how' we are getting beat is the issue. Our guys are all looking sloppy and confused and are getting beat up. Looks like how we were when entering against Green Bay. I need to see adjustments and SOMEBODY making a play.
