50 degrees and raining here. Started a fire in our Vermont castings woodstove and simmering homemade chili on top.

Going to cook cornbread on top of it and bake. Chili Shepard's pie.
95 degrees in deep South Texas! We get a cold front in a couple of days, gonna be about 88!!! Gotta look for a sweater. Lol!

Awesome. Especially the battered and fried variety. Can't wait until March when they come out looking to mate. I prefer egg whites only in my batter.
Do you catch them mating so you can have the equivalent of a double yolk egg in the Arachnid food group?

No. But if you've never seen them moving in the open, it's quite a sight. If you're lucky, you'll get to see tarantula hawks sting one and bury it. Nothing like mortal combat.
