Games missed by key Cowboy players in 2024

Brandin Cooks..?

DeMarcus Lawrence..?
Well, let's look at another way........
****DLaw I agree we may or may not have a replacement for him but we did get the 7 wins w/o him.
****As for Cooks, Pickens' signing easily offsets his departure.

Hell, I would argue Pickens and Fowler are worth more than Cooks and DLaw.

It is undeniable that losing all those players hurt the Cowboys. It could have cost them 2 or 3 wins last year. They will be a better team in 2025, I am pretty certain of that. But they also appear to have a tougher schedule in 2025, and regardless of the players they lost to injury last year that are coming back, they still have major question marks at certain key positions, like DT, LT, RT, and even RG (until we see if Booker is the real deal). Plus, the player coming back from injury, like Diggs, Overshown, and Sam Williams, may not be 100% when they come back.

I see what you are saying, but we are returning the SAME DT, LT, RT from last year's 7-win team. I agree, Booker is a question mark until otherwise proven, but we shouldn't see a drop off from the three positions mentioned. Also, I would hope Pickens and Fowler's upgrade will level off a couple of losses to key players.

IT WAS AN ALL IN season!! I'd fake an injury quick!! Never seen this many players get hurt and not RUSH back to be in games they would have tried to play in if we were in the hunt

Still finished 7-10........
The question is having all these players back worth 3 wins? ( 10 wins = playoff floor )

None of that matters. We should have been able to pull up practice squad players and easily replace players like Bland and Diggs. This is all on Jerry, and he still has not addressed the weakness of our practice squad, nor our ability to replace Dak, when he goes down with a Patrick Mahomes type player.

So….with the team they typically put together, if they have no injuries at all, they will be a good team?

Losing the QB is one thing. Season over.

Otherwise, using injuries as an excuse in the NFL means you have garbage depth.

What was the record before most of them went down?

It wasn't good......
