Was anyone yelling no?

I trust Bailey, but that that 10 yards longer than he's career long.

I'm not sure if Garrett was hoping Steelers would burn a timeout (Which I believe they did). But, I couldn't believe he actually was maybe going to attempt it. Would've gave Steelers great field position.

The hot seat would've been even hotter if the kick happened and was missed.

if he attempted and missed and we lost because of that, he'd be fired within 15 minutes of coming into the locker room.

Chillax. Jason was never intending to kick a 62 yard field goal. He was trying to fool the Steelers.

It would have been a bad decision to try the field goal, for sure. Most likely it would have missed, and the Steelers would have easily moved into field goal range.

If there had been only three seconds remaining in regulation, sure, go for it. But in this situation there was simply far too much time remaining.

It was never the plan to try the kick. We pretended to do so in order to catch the Steelers off guard and cause them to burn a time out, which they did.

There is nothing that Garrett can do this season to get fired. Short of trying to bang Gene, he's back no matter what.

I might be mistaken but I think that little charade made Pitt burn a timeout. I dont think Garrett ever intended to kick it.

Actually the timeout was ours.

Three things:
One, I believe Bailey can make that kick in that stadium.
Two, if they were'nt going to punt, going for it on 4th and 4 would have a better chance of success than that long kick and failing to convert would still leave the Steelers on their side of the 50.
Three, after Moreman came onto the field, the Steelers did use a timeout to make sure they had their players on the look-out for a fake punt. (and I believe that is why they didn't have anybody back to catch a short punt that bounced forever and ended up being a 59 yarder when we really needed it.)

Give Garrett his due, he was thinking this time.

i had thought Bailey must've started roiding because he sure doesn't have the leg for a 60 yard FG

I was hoping he was trying to get the Steelers to do something stupid and they did call a timeout. Had they had 2 timeouts? Who's to say they don't try to get in field goal range?

This is the reason.

Perhaps the first time since Garrett was elevated to head coach that he made a very smart management decision.

I think you have your punts mixed up. this one went into the endzone and the steeler downed the ball before the half. I think

I don't think distance has been any problem for Bailey on his misses. He had plenty of leg on the miss in Baltimore, he just pulled it.

I might be only one who actually think Bailey could have made that kick.
