I think there was 2 times this game that Garrett could have pulled the trigger on a challenge. I haven't looked it up yet but I don't recall any challenges by Garrett this year? The Newman non INT would have been a good challenge IMO as well as the Ware sack and fumble.

The Newman play was clearly not a catch.

On the fumble, he wanted to challenge, but couldn't, presumably because there was no clear recovery before the officials stopped everything.

I don't mind him not throwing the challenge flag late in a close game with any doubt it would not go in our favor. Timeouts are critical at the end of a game.

Bingo. Were you watching the same game? Newman had the ball pinned against the ground and it clearly moved. He talked to the refs about challenging the Grossman fumbled and he couldn't since he was ruled down by contact and the whistle was blown while the ball was loose.
