As a longtime Cowboys fan that is tired of mediocrity. Do you believe Garrett will eventually win a SB in Dallas? Are will he be another Jerry's firing in 3 or 4 years.

I'm willing to give him the chance to prove himself.

Depends if he is willing to give up his playcalling duties.

If he is not willing to do that then i'd like to get rid of him asap.

I just thinking about the next game.

I am 100% sure he will not win just one while here. He is building a team, not just sending them out to play.

There is a huge difference.

Does he get to fire Jerry? If Jerry can't out spend which he can't now, he has never demonstrated an ability to put a Super Bowl contender on the field. That includes a team that is mentally strong enough to want to win.

Uh...

To be fair, he hasnt. Jerry has failed miserably when trying to put together a team his way. Now, he HAS demonstrated the ability to hire a young fiery coach who demands the authority to make his own personel decisions and succeed that way. I just hope he has managed to do so again.

Yes, I do.

Baby steps... I'd rather focus on stringing together some good regular season wins and a playoff win or two.

Anything beyond that is gravy.

Just because we havent won anything recently doesnt mean we should lower our expectations. Leave that to the Detroit and Cleveland fans.

It depends on how close he gets us. If we turn into an annual playoff team then Garrett gets more time to build the roster.

However, if we end up being a .500 team year in and year out, it will be very hard for Jerry to keep Garrett in that scenario.

As with any head coach, it ultimately comes down to wins and losses and how many are acceptable to the fan base.

Maybe you shouldn't, but I'd rather keep mine at a level that's realistic with the recent results.

It doesn't mean they can't win the SB, and it certainly doesn't mean I don't want them to.

But until they can play above average week in/week out, my expectations will remain on par with what they produce.

I don't think we have anything near what the type of players that Garrett wants.

Even when he took over, he seemingly wanted to address the ILB issues and Sean Lee was practically starting. Then they go out and draft Carter and it was clear that he wanted that to change. Same with the O-Line. Same with Bailey at placekicker.

He also said in training camp that from day one he wanted to work on running the ball and the way you do that is thru tough practices.

So, I've seen the changes, but not all of them seem to quite be in effect which leads me to believe there's a lot more he wants to change.

I also get the feeling we'll work on things like safety (I love Elam, but wish he was more athletic), WR and DE.

There has been a lot of positive. Although I believe we will not make it to a Super Bowl with Romo at QB. That leaves us with making the transition when Romo needs to be replaced and those don't always go so smoothly.

i think he CAN, whether or not he DOES, depends on a lot of things, not all of which HE has control over.

for now i am looking for a 5-4 record.
