Which brings me to this question. BTW I really am pulling for Garrett and Jerry to work really well together and I don't mean Garrett being a "yes man". My question, does Garrett have anyone on the coaching staff he can trust, someone to help beyond just being an assistant, to be his eyes in the back of his head? I suspect many of the great head coaches have had that reliable #2 to have his back. He'll need that, I think, to be successful. Does he have that guy right now?

I think let him first finish the season and see how he does first. Then the process has to be followed, i..e Jerry has to interview other candidates before he can even make it official. Then Garrett has to find his own staff eventually. Not all of the guys here are going to be there again.

In time, we will know, first if Garrett can do it, even if some of us already believe he will, and then who his deputy might be.

I hope the rest of the staff will back him and that there's no hard feelings with Wade getting canned.

I have a feeling Ray Sherman can be that guy, he has much experience in this league and coaching in general. Im surprised he doesn't have a coordinator job somewhere else by now.

Just guessing that he might trust his brother.
