I could be wrong but I just don't see Booger upsetting his little world. He has it just as he wants it and Linehan was kept as the sacrifice to give the illusion we hear you, we care and we did something.

Has Garrett not made questionable sideline calls/decisions every season? It is expected that he reveal he's not a NFL HC at least once every season. Sometimes he doubles up in case he might miss a season due to illness.

Like many have stated, I'm on a wait and see approach to this, but I'm hopeful. Garrett has shown us very little in his 8 years here. EIGHT YEARS!!! Enough is enough. He is what he is at this point and that is not a coach that is going to take us to the promise land. Hell, Wade freaking Phillips had just as many playoff wins as Garrett in his short 3 year stint. What does that tell you?

We could hypothetically be 5-2 this season if he knew how to actually coach this team into a win.

I'm extremely over this coaching staff.

Nobody has been calling out Garret more ruthlessly than this board. Sometimes I think the talking heads get their talking points here.

How does Jerry not fire a coach that won't play for a win? Jerry built his entire fortune on taking huge risks. Yesterday's game and the Houston game have got to nauseate him on some level. He's a wildcatter at heart with the most conservative coach in the league.

You would have to get that out on social media for it to catch. With the state of the team though, I bet if enough eyes saw it and a rowdy group at the game started it, it would take off.

This is a nice theory, but the players on this team are well aware that Garrett is Jerry’s golden boy, and that any of them could/would be jettisoned before JG is ever fired.

If the offense quits on anyone it will be OC/play-caller Linehan. Meanwhile, the defense under Marinelli will never quit because Rod simply won’t let them.

I share your pain, and never wanted Garrett as HC in the first place. However, I also understand and reluctantly accept the special dynamic that exists between Jerry and Jason.

Jerry Jones drew a line in the sand when he hired Garrett as OC and immediately anointed him “head coach in waiting” BEFORE Wade Phillips was signed as HC (the acceptance of Garrett was a condition of Wade getting the job). It was just a matter of time before Garrett became HC, with Jones then alluding to JG being “his” Tom Landry.

Jerry Jones is now 76yo and does NOT want to admit that he made a mistake, that Garrett can’t get it done, and then face the prospect of starting over with a whole new HC & staff.

If Garrett were to go 0-fer the rest of 2018 (3-13), then MAYBE Jerry would pull the plug. But that’s unlikely. Jones will, if necessary, scapegoat Linehan and his staff, but Jason isn’t getting fired this year.

I’ve said this too. I think LR could be the guy.

What Jerry says in public is worthless. He will not put up with embarrassing losses on the regular and losing seasons. Each time JG’s seat has gotten hot he has ripped off a great year. This is the first time he’s gone into a season needing to win and has struggled out of the gate. And I’m sure offensive woes and coaching mistakes are making a losing season even worse for Jerry. I think JG is in trouble.
