Probably not. While Garrett has many weaknesses one of his strengths is preventing the team from a total collapse where the team quits on him.

IMO the powers that be have FINALLY had enuff. 5-3 and he at least gets to the end of the season. But go 3-5 or worse in those 1st 8 and its Linehan as interim head coach. Three and five or less and the outcry from the fans will be so loud and sustained that even Jerry wont be able to stand it. Besides,.... doing it midseason gives the team a bit longer to find the next head coach and to be honest also gives Linehan his audition period to be fair.

I hope you are right AH but I doubt it. Jerry has proven over and over he would rather be comfortable than hire a real coach and win. I do not see Garrett going anywhere until people quit buying merchandise and buying tickets. I am doing my part.

No, they will win just enough games to squeak into the playoffs then lose the playoff game. That will get him another year.

Some folks are so caught up in getting Garrett fired, they no longer care about how the Cowboys do. Losing perspective like that is symptomatic of the kind of posts that get started around her these days. It's no longer about the match up between teams. The X's and O's comes secondary to the will to get the HC fired. It's a sad state of affairs in Cowboys nation and frankly, a new regime will not fix the mindset among fans that care more about the crucifixition of management than the execution of the game plan on the gridiron.

Nor should 4-12 have gotten him fired. It followed the most successful season of Garrett's tenure to that point and was greatly the result of injuries to the most important pieces of the team. The 13-3 record the following year with a 4th round rookie QB validates he shouldn't have been fired.
