I was watching NFL Network and it was reported that Garrett had other teams interested in offering him a HC job when his contract ran out with the Cowboys. Has anybody heard about this? Do you think it’s just Jerry and Jason providing false info to settle down the mob that’s trying to run JG out of town?

It was well documented at the time it happened. Many threads in here about it.

You really think something like that would get past the CowboysZone???

Jason Garrett was offered the head coaching position in Baltimore in 2008. Google search is your friend. Use it.

What the F happened to this board? This use to be THE place to have an intelligent conversation with knowledgeable cowboys fans. Nowadays? No chance.

Yes Garrett drew a lot of interest considering how successful our offense was with him as OC early on.

_______

According to a league source, there is a "60-40'' chance Garrett will ultimately accept the opportunity to succeed Brian Billick, who was fired after the regular season. However, sources told ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli that Garrett left Baltimore Tuesday afternoon without making any decision about the job. Sources said he was en route to Atlanta for a second interview with Falcons officials.

Garrett, who arrived at the Ravens' training complex for the second interview Tuesday morning, was the first candidate to have call-back sessions with the Ravens and Falcons.

They were talking about when his HC contract expired after the 2014 season. The Baltimore and Falcons job offer are well documented on here.

He was in demand in 2007-8 but not since then.
He hasn't shown anyone that he is HC material.
The only thing he has going for him is an Owner that likes working with him.
