Greeny implied this morning on Mike and Mike that if he were Wade he would be made at Garrett after yesterday because it appeared Garrett sabotaged him.

I've seen several posters say the same thing today. Really? You must all think Jason is a ******. Why would a guy want to have to prove him self to get the job without his best QB?

Bottom line is the players were held to no accountability, never practiced in pads, did what they wanted, and now its different when some discipline and organization is implemented into the weekly process.

I was a Wade hater from day 1 and there is no way Jason wanted to get this job by throwing Wade under the bus.

I'm optimistic about Garrett and what we saw yesterday was a little fire that we hadn't seen since the N.O. game last season. I'm no Terry Bradshaw (implied the boys make the playoffs) but if this team continues to perform we are watching our future head coach and personally I couldn't be happier.

Solid post. Mike Greenburg is a dribble turd...don't worry about his BS!

If Garrett wanted to remove Wade, he could have done it two years ago. Anybody who saw the game realized you saw a team who was excited to play a football game.

The OL got off the ball for a change, why? because there would be consequences if they didn't, and they didn't want to be the link that let the TEAM down. Seriously, there was no offense or defense last night, just a TEAM.

Now if we can just replace the defensive staff......

Come on dont let Mike Greenberg get you upset. He's the "don't know anything" guy on that show and plays a role.

It's on again right now...Mike Golic said it's "ridiculous" and there is NO chance it's true. So.......that seems like it's the end of it.

It wasn't just Greeny that irritated me it was as soon as I logged on here and read the same garbage. :bang2:

The voice of reason role to Greeney's "nancypants" role ;)

Just make sure you include Bryan McCann, Alan Ball and Bradie James as accomplices. :)

I agree 100%. The whole concept is so pathetically stupid it almost isnt even worth talking about. Yet we have a sports reporter on a national broadcast talking about it, and several of our own fans suggesting it.

Garrett's a professional, has been a life long NFL guy who comes from an NFL family. Like they say in Major League "this isnt the California Penal league"

People forget that Greeney's opinions on things like team dynamics are just launch points for Golic. The idea of the show is to pair a professional interviewer/reporter with a former player. People always hear Greeney say something shocking and then act like it was a serious point. His role is to facilitate discussion, not to bring expert analysis.

.....but when it's something that IDIOTIC....it shouldn't be brought up in the first place IMHO. Hey, their appealing to the lowest common denominator: I get it.

My post wasn't meant to suggest that Greeny and Golic are the problem they are what they are. I was referring to the threads on this forum that suggested the same. Its a joke. Being critical of the Boys as an objective fan is one thing but saying Garrett sabotaged Wade is either trolling or just plan and simply moronic.

I still have some doubts about Garrett but no I do not think in any way shape or form that he did anything to hurt Phillips.

I obviously do not agree. In fact, I thought the gameplan was pretty similar to what we have seen all year. I thought the line played much better yesterday. If your QB has time to look down the field to make big plays you are going to have opportunities.

It is one game. Lets see if they can string some performances like yesterday together.

I agree. I expected the guys to play well yesterday I think the firing was a wakeup call and caught a lot of player’s attention and felt they would come out with enthusiasm and they did. But now comes the part where you got to show it week in and week out. There is a lot of proving that needs to be done

It is amazing how things look different when you are physical as a football team and limit your mistakes. I thought the defense was very agressive yesterday and had bodies around the ball all game long. I haven't seen that aggression all year long.

Dallas was not going to let the Giants run the ball on them and guys did a great job of hustling to the ball. Also playing a lot of zone helped out in terms of stopping the giants running game.

The point is that he brings up stuff that occurs to the average fan. Not the hardcore fanatics or even the reasonably well-informed fans. Is it a stupid idea? Yes. But if people on here are talking about it, then you know it's occurred to other people too. You may not like the format of the show. I think all of ESPN tends to indulge the moron uniformed fan too much, but that's how the show works.

I know the guy is great with Xs an Os. He's very cerebral and the fact that he's backed by the entire Cowboys organization and many former players helps.

But the most important thing I saw yesterday is that these guys will play for him. You get a 1-7 team without their franchise QB to beat arguably the best team in the NFC, and you're obviously doing something right.

He's going to be our guy win, lose, or draw - so I might as well get used to the thought of him being the HC for years to come. And I think many of you were right, that he'd be a better HC than he is an OC.

He got the guys to play yesterday, and thats a great sign.
