CowboysZone DIEHARD Fan
Never was a Garrett fan and probably never will be but as long as the players keep buying what he is selling......not much that I can complain about right now :muttley:

Honestly, I can deal with him as a Head coach as long as he has really solid assistant and position coaches...i would also like him to choke out the opponents instead of play to win by a fg... mostly because that's my personality

Players love him because he genuinely cares....

It’s obvious he loves every player like his own when you see something like that hurns injury...

Hurns is cowboys family and it was nice to see everyone rally around him... might not be cooper but he was a Cowboy and ****** he made some plays

He is a player's coach for sure...………….I really dont mind him being head coach all that much if he has great assistants like Richards doing the actual work.

Too bad we are going to lose Richards, but the man deserves a shot to be head coach so I am happy for him.

Now he’s a ‘players coach’ like Wade Phillips, when before he was the disciplinarian that put fear into the hearts of players...

Winning always creates fake narratives.

He also has Zeke running in the Colts game when they were getting blown out taking unnecessary hits and played Beasley all last game, when he has been hobbled by an ankle injury for weeks, which he clearly hurt again on that PI and he hobbled off the field.

I rag on him and may not be the best coach in the league... but he was there for Hurns. I think we saw tonight why the players play hard for him.

Have to admit...this was a wonderful, yet tragic moment. We got to see why the players go to battle for this HC...and that guy cares. For a second I thought he was going to tell him he threw up his Italian sub...lol...BUT seriously, what a moment for pause in this game...wow. Talk about a gruesome injury. I had a injury just like this in HS,and let me tell you, as soon as I saw Hurns in terrible pain, I had a hunch it was this bad. Brought back memories for me. Compound fractures are a nightmare....

You don't see the coach on the field holding his players hand too often. I agree!

You are just mad you cannot do the same with Wentz every time he gets hurt .......... you would be on your knees holding his hand a lot as much as he gets hurt.

I don't think it's his hand he would be holding. More like something on his body that sounds like rock.

People change. It was a nice moment.

Still stuck on what he did to Wade though. Perhaps he has changed.

Let him be a nurse then. He sucks as a coach. Period.

The title of the thread was "Garrett is a good dude." He even said that he may not be the best coach.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are moving on and Garrett is a good dude for what he did. Period.
