Is it OK to fire a headcoach if he reaches a double digit win total? I hate to say but 10-6 does sound keepable.
Ah, but 10 years and 3 playoff appearances is not keepable in my book.Is it OK to fire a headcoach if he reaches a double digit win total? I hate to say but 10-6 does sound keepable.
It would be 4 playoff appearances and an 89-63 regular season record.Ah, but 10 years and 3 playoff appearances is not keepable in my book.
Some of us have been saying for awhile now that he’s not going anywhere. We’ve also been saying that the only thing Jerry listens to is his pocketbook. I would be very surprised if we have a new coach for next year. Meanwhile, the fans will eat it up. Get all excited for the draft...Jerry will sell them (once again) on the latest and greatest and the fans will flock to buy merch and tickets like they do every season. It’s really our fault. This old man that goes to the local bar has long talked about his contacts with the Cowboys and says he personally knows Garrett. His stories are believable over the years as they are correct many times. I should add that he is not a drunk, usually has no more that two beers, while I have as many as I can fit down my neck.
Anyway, tonight we are talking Cowboys and he told me he has it on good authority that Jerry told Garrett that if he wins out he will get a new contract. He said winning in the playoffs would not be a condition.
The old guys knows I hate Garrett, we have discussed that for a few years and he understands why the fans are sick of him. But, he says he knows him and he backs him all the way.
If this is true it goes to show that Jerry really is not interested in winning big, but only interested in keeping his organization as is. As long as the Cowboys have a winning record and seemingly have a chance Jerry is happy. It is all about the fans deep pockets.

I would believe him because he works as a janitor in the stadium.
He also said that he knows Garrett’s mother who is a moderator on a Cowboys fan forum . Wonder who that could be?
Interesting stuff, so if we lose tonight JG is out, or will the story change to 9-7? Could you ask him for me tomorrow night? This old man that goes to the local bar has long talked about his contacts with the Cowboys and says he personally knows Garrett.
