I'll give credit where credit is due, just like I'll trash him when it's due (which it usually is, more often than not!)

He played the ending perfectly. The clock management, the play calls, were all on point. And he didn't coach scared like he did in Baltimore. Hopefully he's learning. I hate the idea of on the job training, but it's what we're stuck with.

Billick brought up during the game that it was still a long FG attempt and we should try to get closer, but I am fine with Garrett deciding to do what he did. If I had to guess, I bet Garrett didn't want to run more plays to give our crap OL anymore opportunities to get a stupid holding penalty to set us back even further. Bailey is money and the length we gave him to kick from is automatic for him.

Great ending. Doesn't hurt to have a guy like Murray busting his butt to get those first downs either.

sort of agree with this.I still want him out of Dallas but i wouldnt fault him for the end of this game.

We won the game and people still find something to complain about.

Oh whoops, you're giving him props......:D

doesnt take away from all the mistakes he made and how lackadaisical his team is !

He played that perfectly? Are you joking?

What happened? Had to follow the ending on game tracker from 35,000 feet up.

When the players execute, the coach plays it perfectly. When they do not, he blows it. I'm detecting a pattern with this 'call it like you see it' that you speak of.

He could have ran it at least twice instead of running out the clock to get a closer attempt. Don't think Red will ever nail time management

I really wanted a few more yards. My beautiful body cant handle too many of these. Feels good and JG sealed another year for himself.

If you're looking for an argument, save it. Some of you Garrett backers are so defensive, even when people are trying to give the guy credit.

It's not just about players executing. There was clearly a much better prepared team who attacked this situation aggressively, as opposed to what happened in Baltimore.

With this OL we were more likely to lose yards or get a holding penalty. From 40 and under kickers in this league should be automatic. Bailey had been perfect from under 50 so why risk something you don't need to?

A good day for us all to eat a little CROW......have to say Garrett and this whole team did a heck of a job....Garrett has learned (the hard way) but he has learned inside the 50 Bailey is automatic...great win for Jerry, great win for Garrett and Great win for the Cowboys......Garrett looked and gamed like a HC today...great job..

Garrett-haters aren't going to let it go no matter what... I don't know why you even try. If they lose, he stinks, if they win, they win in spite of him. But get used to it Garrett-haters... pretty sure he punched his return ticket with this one.

All we needed was another 10 yard holding penalty from Run Free.

I loved that Garrett had Romo running a slowed down (no-huddle) 2-minute offense. Kept Cincy from substitutions and our running game actually had positive yards as a result. Also props to Murray. There is no way any other Cowboy RB would have made that last 1st down.

It wasn't perfect but it was good enough. I questioned the 2 passes from mid-field but once they got the 1st, was all good.

I am more worried about fielding 11 men on defense from here on out.

Not going to get a argument out of me. I can imagine the JG haters dont really enjoy giving him compliments.
It was ugly as hell, racked up more injuries... But still feels good.

Lets go SAINTS!
