If he is so tough and has progressed so much why the hell are they IRing him?

"You can hit him in the face with a shovel and he keeps coming back"

Soooo explain to me why he could start the season on IR. He literally got hit in the face, and DIDNT keep going...

actually pretty funny considering the circumstances. poor figure of speech for him to use.

If Garrett doesn't watch out, the league will begin investigating whether or not we attempted to manipulate the roster with a fake injury move to the IR.
Doesn't the league have docs that do the concussion protocol? Or is it just team docs
Seems like I read somewhere the leagues people do that

While I wouldn't put anything past the league, it would the be the dumbest decision in the world to investigate a team for putting a player on IR for a concussion in today's climate. That's something you just don't touch these days.

Its a pretty blatant manipulation move, but the question is why?

They don't think he's ready and they have Swaim and Hanna who are ready to fill their roles (mostly blocking). That means carrying 4 TE's, so they would rather carry 3 TE's. I don't like the decision, but I understand what they are thinking.

under normal leadership it would be wise not to touch it; however, this is Goodell we are talking about here. He has proven not to be very smart in his approach to these type of things.

Apparently his face is harder than his head.

I think that there's little doubt that's exactly what the team did. But because it's a concussion, there won't possibly be a challenge to its validity. While some injuries might eventually be questioned (and I expect that they will be), nobody will think about questioning a concussion or brain injury.

Let the league try to question a guy that had a concussion. That would be a professional death wish by anyone in the NFL front office connected with it!

I don't know, I mean the HC says you can hit the guy with a shovel in the face and he keeps coming, days after putting him on IR for in essence getting hit with a shovel in the face. Something doesn't add up.
