A team that has won 2 straight and it blow out fashion today may get comfortable. Garrett needs to create a real sense of urgency this week in practice. I don't care how bad the Commanders look they will be ready for us. We have to treat them like were playing the packers. Garrett has to set the tone this week to insure their is zero letdown next sunday.

nah you can tell watching Witten's interview, and Romo's past interviews they know the deal.

Trust me, just because they don't come out and say it, or deny it, they sit back and look at the schedule, and standings, just like us nerds do:p:

They know the deal.

I think that attitude has been enforced since he took over last year. Be great every day. Put a couple of great practices together, then be great on Sunday. Practice consistently, play consistently.

You need to listen to Garrett Pressers more then. Thats the beauty of his approach and his Mantra. One day at a time and living in the moment, having best day today.

Its not cliche's, but the truth. You have to worry about doing your best today, and worry about tomorrow until your day is done. Most of the team, you can see his mantra has caught on.

Some of media and fans think its bland or to be made fun of, but he is consistent and means it. So one big game, wont give this team a big head, it may not win them next game for certain, but I don't think they get complacent.

You can already see in post game Presser by Romo. That doesn't gurantee a great game every game, but it gurantees I think they don't get complacent.

This is not the team of the last two years. They'll be ready.

Agreed.

As Igor Olshansky once famously said "yeah, they know what's up."

Please don't speak his name around here anymore.

This team is 5-4. It hasn't accomplished enough to be comfortable.

I think we just go on as we do every other week.

Practice well every day and focus on your next opponent.

Deadskins suck but it's still a rivalry game away. They know the drill.

That's what I thought before the Philly game...

I think the Washington game is going to be really good to serve as a watermark for where we are at...mentally more than anything.

Maybe on the record part, 5-4 isn't great.

However, this team feels like it is on the upswing. In past years the attitude seemed to be that we were getting older but didn't appear to be getting any better. This was the same team that does the same dumb things and lays down year after year when things start going south. Any injury to any of the team's main cogs caused a near epic collapse in the team.

This year's team seems like it is on the upswing and they are able to overcome all the barriers that get erected in front of them.

I don't know what our record will be and I don't know if we'll make the playoffs or even do anything of note once we get there. But this team is getting better week by week and I have a lot of confidence in them overall. I don't think they will go down without a fight and I see them getting stronger as the playoffs near.

It takes awhile to get that Wade stench out of the team but we are almost there now. With the departure of Choice I think we got rid of the last true Wade malcontent that we have. Some may argue if Bennett is a Garrett type player and I'm not sure but I do know that Bennett works pretty hard when he is out on the field and has his head on straight now. He'll just never be a good receiver. Holland had some Wade stench on him but after getting cut he has transformed himself back into a good football player and knocked off that Wade stench.

I like this team and I think they will do great things. I'm just not sure this is our year to be a contender. This is a year that we work at transforming ourselves into what we will be under Garrett from here on out.

I think we are about to see how far this team has come in the 8 weeks since we played them last.

I hope Felix is back by then to have a hand in torching them again.

Oh, I think the team is going in the right direction also.

But I'm still hesitant to annoit it any more than your typical 5-4 team for two reasons.

The first being the old Parcell's line that "You are what your record says you are."

Maybe kinda harsh, but I think most of us know what Bill was saying.

The second is that for a long time team hasn't been able to handle success.

Now what the heck does that mean? I'm not exactly sure I can tell you! LOL! At least maybe not 100% to your or anyone else's satisfasction.

But it's like this, whenever the Dallas Cowboy organization seems "fat & sassy" from the top down, the cold hand of reality smacks it in the chops.

I'd like to see it ride a wave of success for a little while, sorta like a New England or Pittsburgh teams of past, and simply take care of business by beating those teams it should beat.

The loss isn't really what concerns me about the Philly game. It's the fact that we never showed up and gave ourselves a chance to win. I have no doubt that Dallas can beat any team in the leauge, whether or not they allow themselves to do that, is a different monster.

That was the Eagles SB. Ryan didn't help with the lip service but it happens.

To an extent, I agree. However, our core leaders have been here before and flopped. They know not to get too comfortable. The fact that they've already entered games with big heads and flopped in the past gives me great hope that they will sustain over the next several weeks. JG will have them on point next week.
