So youre asking the head coach to do exactly what he has done all season, including the last two weeks against top rush defenses?

Got it. I think Mr. Garrett will take head to your suggestion.
Throwing a flag for piling on. Unnecessary roughness. When you're playing a game of pickup with a little kid you gotta let some things slide. Don't call traveling every time brah. Smh. Lol.

At 5-1...I trust them to do whatever they want at this point. I don't see why on earth he would all of a sudden STOP running the ball............

The last 5 games Prescott has attempted 30, 24, 32, 24 and 27 passes. That is an average of 27.4 passes per game.

The last 5 games the Cowboys rushing attempts are 30, 41, 39, 29 and 33. That is an average of 34.4 rushes per game.

What's the problem???

Eagles might be without a key piece of their run D (Benny Logan). Garrett knows what he needs to do......feed the beast.

They've watched the Washington game tape. They will manhandke these fools but will take some shots early to take advantage of them singling up Dez.

I too think we'll run on them and be successful. However, they aren't as bad against the run as they looked in that game. They gameplanned to stop Cousins and their passing game, not to stop Matt Jones and Rob Kelly. Up to that point, the Washington run game had looked pretty lame and their passing game had looked pretty solid (minus Cousins missing wide open guys).

The run game certainly wasn't the focal point of their defensive game play and when Logan went out, they had to adjust on the fly.

Against Dallas, they will preach all week long about stopping the run and they'll scheme to shut it down as best they can. Dak is going to have to back them off of the line of scrimmage and hurt them in the passing game. Once that happens, they'll have to adjust to stop the pass and that is when Ezekiel will gash them.

If the passing game gets going, Dak is going to absolutely kill Philly with play action and Elliott is going to get some chunk yardage.

IMO, it is going to hinge on the passing game and 3rd down conversions. Succeed there and the run game will really get going. Struggle there and the Eagles are going to sit on the run all night.

They'll do what most clubs do and take what the defense gives them or they can dictate them to do.

The first series or so will probably be scripted and as one said I'd be surprised if there aren't some early reads to go deep if they load up on the run.

Agreed. They've had a history of singling Dez and he's torched them. Moreover they have Malcolm Jenkins forced into covering slot...Cole should be licking his chops. We cross them up with early air strikes and then punishing second half runs when tongues are hanging and dudes are gasping for breath given our 2 to 1 time of possession advantage. ;)

BS! Smart alec! We def have gone away from the running game to get cute way to often in the red zone imo, that play Dak fumbled it against GB was a perfect example. OP had a completely valid point that I agree with. Until they actually stop us, we should keep pounding like Emmitt against Buffallo in the Superbowl!

I really think it was Romo who would audible out of run plays and pass it so many times in years past.

Garrett wants to play with an early-90's Cowboy's style. We don't have to worry about them not pounding the rock on Sunday.

I would love for us to call play action go route first play of the game to Dez.

I think we will see pretty much the same in terms of balance. One thing I am waiting to see is Dallas run a pass play off the Jet Sweep that Whitehead has been running with success. One of these times he is going to pull up and throw a pass off that play.

Yeah it's called Farve-out-audible... Holmgren said it drove him crazy.
