I really don't see what we really accomplished with this.

signed. and if he does become a good coach, and we end 5-11ish. we draft in the 8-12 range and still miss out on a game changer.

I agree. Heck at this point if I was going to promote a coach to the interim spot it would have been Ray Sherman, he has more experience in the NFL ranks and has done a decent job

You wouldn't be happy that we got a good coach because of draft order?

Perhaps you could explain in detail exactly what kind of HC Garrett will be. The truth is you can't. So it's pretty obvious you can't see what we really accomplished by this move today. No one can except those inside Valley Ranch.

Agreed. Would have rather seen Ray Sherman as OC. Garrett is a dead man walking.

his title was assistant headcoach, so why he gets a pass with what he's done with this offense is beyond me...

His title was actually offensive coordinator, if you didn't know.

I don't want it to be december, and do what the browns did last year and instead of grabbing a top talent they fall down to #7 and get Joe Haden, had they not won those last 4 they wouldve had Sam Bradford. HUGE Difference

He isnt getting a pass. He is just harder to replace with Wade at this point. If Jerry came out and gave him an extension today then he gets a pass.

In my book he is just as responsible as Wade. He is assistant coach and he did nothing while he watched 18 coaches and their families get put out of work at the end of the season. He either lacked the ability to fix it or the desire to fix it. Either way he is responsible as well. I doubt he even wants the job.

Yep, we need a high pick to use on a WR to replace Miles "hands-of-stone" Austin.

I agree. I fear Jerry will not have the guts to fire JG at end of season as he should.

Bottom line is out O line just plain sucks. It's simple. Our line got old overnight and that simply put is why everything sucks on Offense. It starts up front and up front our line is one of the worse in the league. I truly believe that it wouldn't matter who our Offensive Coordinator with the line we have. That ladies and gentlemen falls squarely on the shoulders of Jerry Jones let no mistake about it. This is an uncapped year and there were options out there to make the line better. Worse thing, is many older players still have the drive but their bodies fail them. I think in our case, their physical abilities may not be what it was, but there is no effort. Look at the entire oline (except perhaps Doug Free) and after the initial effort of blocking, our guys fold like a lawn chair. We can't stay on our blocks and that is 100 percent a lack of effort.

Lets see what Red Ball can do and whether he can make chicken soup of chicken droppings.

Lol. There isn't a team in the nfl that has been interested in hiring Garrett as a HC since 07. Coord. are hired as coaches when there side of the ball performs. If you have watched this O play with and without Romo I'm sure you would agree is below avg. You're right I don't know how he'll be as a hc but I also don't know how buff oc would be qas a hc either but I don't want him.

i'm not understanding why everyone is on JG's jock. The dude sucks as on OC. Did ya'll forget we only put up 7pts last night? It's the same mentality as the people who said we'd switch the flip after our "vanilla" off-season. So, all of a sudden Garrett is going to become a good HC? Pffft. Right.

It's not like the offense has been exactly spectacular either...
