Garrett should help our 'D' scheme Miami this week...

he obviously knows cam cameron's offense very well. As I've said elsewhere on this board, this will be a closer game than everyone seems to think. If TNew can go, he should because Chambers worries me. I said we'd beat NY by 6 points in a high scoring affair and I'll say we beat Miami by 7 in a less spectacular fashion. Something like 28-21; but as I said 'Red' should be able to give Stewart and/or Wade some helpful tips.:starspin

Maybe he could talk to Romo and have him NOT score so quickly against the Dolphins so the D could get more of a break!

I'm not as worried about this game. Miami is much easier to defend than the Giants. The Giants have an underrated OL, a QB who played very well and 3 excellent pass catchers.

Miami has Chris Chambers and Trent Green.

How would he know Cameron's offense when he was in SD last year and Saban was the Miami coach?

:)

Seriously, though,

Parcells' philosophy of game management has left the building.

The Cowboys defense is vulnerable to long passes and quick scores. Few leads are safe with this defense.

The Cowboys can't afford Garrett taking his foot off of the pedal.

It's hard to scheme when you are lacking talent....

Its gonna be tough until we get Newman back.

I agree with that, but it was funny that I was thinking Sunday night that, man, we are scoring TOO quickly. It is a good problem to have, and one that we haven't had around here in quite some time!

Wade and Cameron should be familar with each other's schemes from SD. Garrett should be familiar with the Miami personnel since he coached there last season.

Why is that? I would tend to agree that other than QB he knows the pieces of Miami's offense well, but Cameron wasn't the OC or HC in Miami while Garrett was there.

If anything Stewart and Phillips probably know Cameron's offense well, having faced it daily for a couple of years.

Yeah. It really is a big difference.

I don't think most Cowboys fans realize just how much things have changed.

With all the time, resources, emphasis that Parcells placed on defense - many of us serious fans are still seeing things from a "defensive minded" perspective.

But that boat has done left the dock.

For better or worse, the philosophy that is now guides these Cowboys is much closer to Sid Gillman and Don Coryell than to Bill Parcells.

You got me on that one. Ever spit something out before you actually think about it? I try not to, but it just got me in trouble. I feel a little like Steve Martin looks in Yeager's picture from The Jerk: clueless. (I've got to go now because: "the new phone book is here, the new phone book is here!!!!!!!)

Ummm Cameron was in San Diego last year... But they come from the same coaching lineage with Norv Turner.

I think Wade will be able to handle that offense... I'm sure Cameron will be aware of Wade's schemes as well.. It will come down to execution, I like our QB to win that battle.

That is what I was thinking. Did Cameron send in a resume last year that included his prospective offense?

Do you need inside information to see that Miami sucks?
