Garrett stopped his clapping, anyone notice that?

He has mostly stopped smiling. He has been much more grim most of the season, and that seems to have intensified in recent weeks.
He has not looked happy on that sideline and at times looks lost in thought.

Watch Saban if you want to see a clapper and he does it when he needs to rev his team up and I think that's where Garrett picked it up and it's nothing but a habit like Carroll chewing gum like a Valley Girl on the sideline.

I'd rather see Garrett clap than that stupid shoving players in the pads when they're coming off the field after a good play. I don't think they like it and one time Cooper just looked up and rolled his eyes after Garrett almost pushed him off his feet.

George Allen used to do the clapping only he'd lick his palms before doing it. I can still see him doing that and smiling over at Landry. The only HC to really get to Landry in his 29 years of coaching.
buddy ryan. but he offended everyone.

Last week fox made fun of his clapping, a video by their comedy guy, and aired it before the chicago
game.
I dont remember him clapping in chicago game, and I watched him during the rams game and no clapping on camera anyway.
I bet it is driving him crazy wanting to clap but he cant, like a smoker who wants a cig, but cant.
He looked miserable during the game. I wonder how long he can go without clapping now?

Now me, screw the video, if I wanted to clap , I would keep doing it, but JG reacts to whatever
is said about him.
Like the 4th down, they said he should have went for it, and next game he just starts going for it.
And one time on his own 20 which was really stupid.

He also stopped talking into his headset. :muttley:

He wasn’t clapping as much last season that was also noted on the board. He’s obviously been made very aware of it with everyone making fun of him. He stopped wearing a ball cap on the sidelines after his first or second season because he wanted to look more like a head coach and not a ball boy.

The clapping has nothing whatsoever to do with winning or losing, just like blue or white jerseys have no control on a game’s outcome. Just another stupid superstition fixated upon by those that think it validates their disdain.

Having a problem with Garrett clapping has got to be the dumbest thing on the planet. What’s the alternative stand there with your arms hanging straight down ?I just don’t get it.

There's no problem at all with clapping if you're winning. It's how Garrett would continue clapping even when the team was in miserable shape and losing, that drove fans bonkers.

Maybe Cowboys Stadium will copy the Vikings Skol chant and do the synchronized clapping. Garrett can stand at midfield and lead it

His clapping was in full force during the Rams game, I have footage to prove it.

They should hire Cowher. Then a whole new thread for years about his spitting and drooling. Or his "Lets go! Let's go!" every time his team makes a play.

You sure about this? I saw some clapping Sunday. It would be like not breathing to him. Definitely clapping. Watch the game again.

Yep... and he's much less annoying to watch now...

It's possible that this subject qualifies as the stupidest, most worthless subject to ever be overemphasized in the history of the world.

I noticed that with Coop. Thought maybe I read too much into but I guess you saw it the same way. Coop is a scholarly, no-nonsense guy.
