Because of years of Jerry poor drafting and crazy WR trades the Cowboys may soon be just another team in years to come. I do believe Jason will turn things around. The question is will Jerry allow him. Early signs are he will. But for how long. As a Cowboys fan it is hard to admit we aren't that good right now.

I think if Garrett goes 3 - 6 in his first 9 games that Jerry will fire him and finally get a coach that knows what is going on in the NFL.

I mean come on now...Garrett is now 1-1 in preseason and it does not look good for this coming season.

I agree. And that coach has to be Cowher or Gruden. They're the only good coaches out there. Or Bob Stoops.

Let me tell ya, Papa Johns has the best pizza in town. Their sauce is nice and sweet. Love it!!

On a serious note, we've got to stay the course. Have some stability and an actual vision with this team. There's no doubt in my mind that we have the right coach. Now we just have to get the players.

Just don't buy it at the stadium...it costs $78.00...one topping only!

All is well!

I know you are being sarcastic. But don't worry, Garrett WILL right the ship. I have 100% faith in this dude.

I agree...being the first Cowboy player to ever coach the Cowboys, and learning under the Jimster, being a coach in the league for other teams...I'm sure he knows what it takes to win and how to build a football team.

It's a process, bro...

:hammer: Jerry better give that man the time to build a championship caliber team.

This knee-jerk crap is getting old, old, and old.

Knee jerk? I thought he did an admirable job of sticking with Wade Phillips, precisely because he knows the value of continuity. But when this team went 1-7 to start the year, he had no choice. I think he stuck with Wade just as far as he absolutely could. Looked like it was paying off in 2009, but 2010 was just a total trainwreck. I don't think Jerry has been kneejerk at all, sometimes to a fault. Roy Williams comes to mind.

That is just nuts. This roster is pretty solid. Teams in this league get it done with far less talent.

I think the real problem here is that people keep looking back at rosters that had Aikman, Smith, Irvin, Novacek, Newton, Stepnowski, Williams, Haley, etc. and think you need 10 or more pro bowl players to compete

No kidding. Among others, we have Ware, Ratliff, Witten, Dez, Free, Felix, and, most of all, Romo.

The OP's post would be more suited for Cleveland, San Francisco, or Miami.

The panic in these parts is comical. 2 preseason games in....
Patience my friends.

lol. We have the most overrated roster (on this board) year in and year out.

Can we get real for a sec?

Ware - real deal, no argument there.
Dez - VERY, and I mean VERY unproven at this point. Looked very good for a rookie, but no way you could honestly crown him ANYTHING at this point.
Felix - injury prone. Can we see if he can get through a whole season first?
Romo - To this point, good, not great, and I hope this year will be great.

Pretty accurate assessment in my opinion. Except how in the world can you say Ware is the real deal. Just you wait, midway through the season, when he doesn't have a sack in a game by the third qtr? You will see that he is clearly overrated. :D

Ware - gets meaner under coach Ryan.

Dez - let him learn under coach Robnison and earn a Silver Star, don't just go out and buy one. (gold is so overrated)

Feliz - let coach Worick(damn spelling) make him stronger (and he does look stronger to me)

Romo - if he would just put his damn cap on right! This is where Garrett is failing as a coach.

These are the players and coaches that have question marks about who they are and what they need to do. If they don't produce, they need to be replaced.

Actually, this whole team is overrated!....

No one is talking Canton here.... there is no overrating implicit in the statement.

The point here is that the Cowboys have a decent roster ... no worse than average.

When rosters are bad, that's the time to plead for patience.

The talent level is a good bit better now than it was back in the days of Quincy.

He won't pay for it any way.

JG will make it part of the dress code, Romo will ignore it and be cut.
