Things I like
  1. His comment about "if we are gonna be a physical team we have to be physical in paractice.
  2. The team responds well to adversity. Down huge to the saints, down big to Cardinals team responded.
  3. Organizational Skills
  4. Attention to detail
  5. "telling" Jerry to back him on Barber
Things I don't like
  1. The way he crosses his legs on the bench.
  2. Inexperience
Things I don't think we know yet.
  1. Talent Evaluation - Brad Johnson? Barber starting? How much say did he have? People worried Kitna was Johnson 2.0, but that has been proved wrong. Did he learn, he seemed to have input on Felix (not holding that against him, but why has it taken so long to feature Felix?)
  2. Will he be able to tell Jerry no, asking him to back you on a discipline issue after the horrendus start is simple compared to hiring your own staff and while not shopping for the groceries, but at least making your opinion heard.
  3. Can he extend his influence to the defense? while turning over talking to the QB during the game to his OC/QB Coach. I don't care if he calls plays or not, but I want him to know what was called and to veto it if he needs/wants to. I don't want anyone to be able yo sau "well he isn't really involed with the D".
Conclusion and other questions
  1. I think Jerry has to look and evaluate all options.
  2. I'd like Jerry to hire a consultant/advisor to help him, when business trips to Vegas pull away the GM :) it would be nice to have someone around. I think this is a must if he hires Garrett or less experienced candidates.
  3. I want him to go long term solution. Garrett fits that bill, Harbaugh would too. What does he have over Garrett? I do like him though
  4. Can Cowher or Gruden or any of those types build a staff? The guys they'd want most likely have jobs. Remeber that with Parcells?
  5. Garrett would be my guy "I think", I just have something telling me he could be a 10 to 15 yr guy.

Ware is obviously sold on Garrett. That is all Garrett needs. Get a few more quality players on defense and Ware will assume role of enforcer on defense (for Garrett).

I am convinced of this.
