Garrett's 2010 Coaching Interview still in progress however I think he'll be named the new HC but in saying this it's a little hard to judge right now because I don't think any of the Defensive Coaches will be kept next season other than Pasq maybe going back to a positional Coach and maybe someone else. I'm mostly watching how Garrett's Offense does because a whole new Defensive philosophy will probably happen next year with new brain trusts.

Right now I'm just hoping that Garrett spends some time with the defensive players and or is calling them into his office to get their attention. I think you can blame the scheme only so much the players need a wakeup call and if Garrett is to be the HC he has to be the HC of every player offense, defense and special teams

Garrett also needs to hire his own coaches on offense, defense and special teams. Jerry can do the interviewing of prospective head coaches and pass along information to Garrett about who interviewed well. Any second interviews should be done by Garrett as a part of picking his own staff. After all, the job is Garrett's and everyone who interviews knows this.

Hmmm, I wouldn't be surprised if all the defensive coaches were back with a new DC in place and possibly the addition of 1-2 other position coaches.

I think that much of the offensive staff are his guys already. Joe D isn't going anywhere either.

I think we are really hoping that the entire Dolphins staff gets axed. If that happened we'd likely see Sparano and Nolan here quickly. David Lee too.

That's fine with me. I just want them to be Garrett's choices and not Jerry's. Things need to change.

Weekly "Garrett isn't quite there" thread. :banghead:

Wade's only last about three and a half years...while Jerry has had a running thread for about twelve years now.:bang2:

Garrett knows that what he does needs to fit in what Jerry likes. Parcells knew that too -- and he felt he could deal with it. Jerry isn't opposed to letting his coaches have a say, he just sometimes picks guys who are push overs.

I hope Garrett insists on hiring his own coaches. And I hope he doesn't keep Coach P as his DC. I agree with others that Capers would be great. I just don't know if he will be available.

This is a team that's going to finish 6-10 and has won one playoff game in 15 years. Garrett needs to make major changes in personnel and his coaching staff. Keeping things mostly intact is a recipe for failure.

Good point :lmao: thanks for the card by the way I appreciated that very much!

I'm going to say it right now. If Dallas losses to the Cardinals, who are starting a rookie and are the worst team in the NFL, then he shouldn't get the job.

If this team can't perform against a team that has mailed it in then he isn't a good coach and should not get the job. Period!

I think Garrett gets the HC Job no matter what happens the next 2 Games. I'm just hoping for a few new assistants to help Garrett next year and oh yea some real high Draft Picks :)

We made freaking Rex Grossman look like Joe Montana last week, so I am sure their rookie QB is going to have a career day as well.

This defense makes any QB look like Dan Marino.

No doubt about the part in bold. I'm tired of teams marching up and down the field against Dallas. The talent level of the opposition is irrelevant. Every opposing offense looks the same against the Cowboys - unstoppable. It's baffling.

If Campo is back I am going to be flat out disgusted. The guy is in charge of the worse secondary in the history of the franchise. We may not have the most talented secondary in the league, but at the same time it isnt the least talented one either.
