Although Jerry has decided to keep Garrett. He must not be as convince he is the right guy, otherwise the contract would have been extended. I am sure the ivy league coach knows he must win in 2014.

This time next year, may see the end of the golden boy. As a fan, I hope he finally figures things out. It is a win win for all.

I gotta believe an extension is in the works...even if the extension is for one year. NFL doesnt usually have "lame duck" coaches. Which is an issue witn Rex Ryan right now too.

Frankly..

I'm not invested in Garrett as a HC.

What I want him to do is to accelerate the rebuilding.

Before he leaves.

Then have more talent in place

..and the cap needs to be trimmed by about 25% going into 2015.

Then..

..he's dismissed.

Thats a nice way of looking at things and I would love to be wrong about Garrett and win it all next season.

Having said that, I don't think I am wrong, the evidence strongly suggests Garrett is a horrible head coach. We saw some signs of the team giving up this year in NO and Chicago, there were also players yelling at Garrett on the sideline. I really think at the first sign of trouble the bottom could fall out of this thing in 2014.

It's going to be tough for Garrett to sell his bland annoying message to the team for the fourth time.

The moral victory business is already getting old...

God forbid they work for it right? We all know Jerry, he will extend him 5 years and then will have no choice to pay him next year when we go 4-12. Much like Rat, TO, Newman, etc,

That may be a big factor. But as soon as we think he is using common sense he will give JG a lifetime contract.

If the Cowboys win game 1 or next season, it will get extended.

Jerry is totally delusional and will more than likely extend Garrett. I am almost sure of it. The Romo era will be end up being a complete waste on Jerry's pet coaching project. Everyone should realize this by now.

No need to work on an extension for Garrett right now.

Let's wait and see.

Jerry's ego will force him to extend Garrett's contract before Sept 2014... You watch
He will do it to stop all the talk about Garrett being a lame duck coach...

So, Garrett is a lame duck coach now. Only one more year of this coach. That is a breath of fresh air. Please, no extension for this mindless, in-over-his-head, pathetic excuse of a coach. Hit the road Jason and don't you come back no more, no more, no more
