We lost seven games, for a variety of reasons. Injuries, poor execution, strength of opponent, etc. Garrett's play calling was questionable at best in those games.

In the 7 losses, we had a total of 25 three-and-out's (or four-and-outs, going for it on 4th down), when the score was still close (within 21 point margin in 2nd half). In those 25 three-and-out's there were 76 plays. That's a fairly large sample. They broke down like this...

25 three-and-out's
76 plays from scrimmage:

48 passes
24 runs to the middle or left
4 runs to the right

4 runs to the right out of 76 plays

*3 of those games we were without our starting QB
*3 of those games, our starter at left tackle was playing hurt.
*all of those games we were without our starting left guard

and yet, we only ran to the right four times.

Well, good thing we've committed over $70M to the right side of our line, eh?

I wonder if Jerry thinks each of those runs was worth $17.5 million of blocking.

Your stats are informative but do not come close to telling the whole story. Singling out the offensive playcalling for those losses are not indicative of the facts:

Garrett's playcalling probably lost the first Washington game. But the 2 games without Romo were more the result of Brad Johnson's inability than anything else. The AZ game was lost by bad ST, not offense (playcalling or otherwise). The losses to Philly, Baltimore and Pittsburgh were the results of turnovers and/or the defense collapsing at the most inopportune time. By my count, that is 6 losses that Jason Garrett should not be blamed for. Garrett should not be held responsible for INTs or fumbles.

I wonder what our yardage was on those runs.
On those runs we gained 2, 2, 7, and 2 yards, but then it's not so much about how well you run, but how often. Teams that run the ball often don't run any better than we do, on average.
