I think it was fine for the team to do in that situation (winning the NFC East).

Had they done it when they got their 9th win (over the 8-8 hump) I would not have agreed with it, but thankfully they knew not to do it then.

I think the fact that they didn't do it for the 9th win shows that they knew as a team that it meant very little and wasn't a goal. However, winning the East was one of their goals, so they reacted accordingly.

I also think that the team likes and respects Garrett and knew what clinching the East meant for him.

A fun thing to do with a Patriots fan is to ask them to name a player who was on the team before Tom Brady.

See also: Seahawks fans before Pete Carroll was coach or Saints fans before Drew Brees.

Typically you'll have time to wait while they fire up Google.

DId you see the Super Bowl celebration the Eagirls had when they destroyed us on Christmas? There was a reason to celebrate. Cowboy fans should know that more than anyone. This journey has been a rocky one and a unexpected one. Celebrate however you want. No reason to be scared or ashamed.

Having spent a lot of time around Saints fans I can tell you this is factual.

Right I get that. I just think coaches Gatorade baths should be reserved for the playoffs. I'm one that prefers the guys act like they have been there before..

Gatorade showers are spontaneous acts. There shouldn't be a rule on when you can do it. Obviously, some players felt it was appropriate.

Comparing it to fans storming the field is not logical. The players and coaches are professionals and they have a bit more understanding of the context of a situation. Fans, on the other hand, are known to blow things out of proportion. Alcohol and groupthink also plays a factor, which skews their judgment.

That is a nice contribution. You should post often.

EDIT: Love the Avatar too. Thurman's Thieves. One of the best nicknames for a secondary, ever.

@SibannacRex @AsthmaField You mean to tell me that all this time I've been looking at Thurman's Thieves thinking it was a group of gangstas? LOL. Come to think of it, that looks like Everson Walls in the lower right corner. Was that a poster or something?

Back to the subject at hand, we can tell who the leaders are. Romo and Mincey held the bucket with Witten close behind.

I think it was a poster. Very cool pic. And yes, that is Walls lower right.

Couldn't do it now days with the alcohol.

I thought that as well. We knew about Romo and Witten, but Mincey has been a bit of a surprise. Mincey has been a terrific signing. Inexpensive, contributes on the field ok, and is one of the guys who has helped shape the team's demeanor.

Thanks @AsthmaField. I have fond memories of the early 80's Cowboys secondary. Became a huge fan of the boys when those guys were in their prime. Those guys were INT machines.
