We came away with the W, but this game wasn't pretty. For some reason, Linehan and Garrett refuse to establish an identity running the ball. Garrett was out-coached again, but the players saved him from himself.

Zeke Elliott played much better today but certainly needs to take care of the football better. His haters are still out there in numbers and while he quieted them down with his play, he gave them ammunition with his carelessness. Prescott had 30 passes... it just doesn't make sense. Clearly, Garrett thinks this offense operates best as a passing offense.

Dak played a much better game today, and I think they played to his strengths this time. They let him roll out, and they used Dez Bryant to get the offense going. It made a huge difference. The problem is they keep forcing the pass in the red zone. Not sure why they are doing this. 1st and goal on the five... run the ball....

Defense is playing as well as to be expected down three of the best players on defense. We're not getting McClain back most likely (though Saban did visit him, hopefully, to get his mind right), and who knows where Gregory will be upon his return (do we even have confirmation that he doesn't face further action from the league?).

I think the defensive line will be just fine when he and Lawrence return. Romo can lead this offense and this team to the post-season if they can win enough games.

I feel like the goal here was to go 2-2 or 3-1 until the defensive help returns. Claiborne is playing well, and Church had an inspired play, but the rest of the secondary desperately needs to step up. Hopefully, with some pass rush and some leads, they will.

Holy rose colored glasses, Batman!

If you think this DL will be fine due to Demarcus Lawrence and Gregory (who's in rehab), you are indeed an optimistic guy. The CBs are playing better, but the front 7 is worse than anytime in recent years. Wait until we play a power team committed to running the ball. We cannot stuff the run, and we have no pass rush.

1. I loved the timing of the on sides kick...wide open...Bailey crapped the bed there.
2. We are unlikely to go anywhere this season with this defense...Jerry better spend all he can in free agency and the next draft on a WR and DDDDDDDDDDD.
3. Clearly, there can be no further question that we got lucky again in finding our next franchise QB at a low cost. When was the last time a rookie QB started his first two games, passed as much as Dak has in two close games without throwing an INT? We would be praising Romo for today's performance and comeback.

1-1 with a win over the Skins is awesome....thank you Cousins, but I'm not even thinking playoffs with this defense. I'll climb on that bandwagon if we ever get a couple games above .500
