TCU
As many as 26 NFL teams were represented at the TCU pro day including new San Francisco head coach Jim Harbaugh, as well as offensive co-ordinators Dirk Koetter of Jacksonville and Cincinnati's Jay Gruden. They were there to check out QB Andy Dalton who reportedly had an outstanding workout throwing the ball. Former Horned Frogs of note who were not at the combine include veteran C Jake Kirkpatrick (6-2, 300), who managed 25 reps in the BP while running the 40 in just under 5.35 seconds. Meanwhile, unheralded FS Colin Jones turned some heads when he ran a sub-4.4 40, while posting a 37" VL; Jones also ran shuttle times that would have been among the leaders at the position at the combine.
OREGON STATE
An estimated 25 NFL teams were in attendance at the Oregon State pro day where scatback Jacquizz Rodgers reported ran the 40 in around 4.5 seconds, down from a very disappointing 4.64 at the combine. Meanwhile, unheralded FS Suaesi Tuimaunei reportedly ran a sub-4.4 40. On the other DT Stephen Paea did not work out as he continues to rehab from a knee injury suffered at the Senior Bowl.
NEBRASKA
WR Niles Paul claims to was told was timed electronically in the 40 at 4.40 and added a 36" VL to bolster a decent showing at the combine where he was timed in 4.51. Unfortunately, though, Paul's hands didn't grow in the interim and he still has the smallest hands of just about every WR in the 2011 draft at barely 8". WR/TE Mike McNeill, an almost shocking admission from the combine reportedly ran in the 4.65-4.70 area.
