Confirmed: CUSA WR to go pro … School officials have now confirmed that Southern Mississippi junior WR DeAndre Brown will be entering the 2011 draft. The 6-5, 240-pound Brown was a heralded recruit and played the part in his first two seasons at USM, but suffered a devastating injury at the end of the 2008 season when he broke his leg in the team's bowl game and has not yet regained his old form. This past season, for example, Brown had only 19 catches as he missed 7 games with a lower leg strain.
(5:00 PM): Ducks back back to school ... Oregon sophomore RB LaMichael James has announced that he will ot be entering the 2011 draft, but will return to school next season. James rushed for almost 1,700 yards this season. The second-ranked Ducks play No. 1 Auburn in the BCS national championship game in Glendale on January 10th.
