Where there’s a Means there’s a way …

Houston CB Loyce Means scored three touchdowns on an interception return, a blocked FG, and a fumble recovery to lead the Stripes to a 40-34 win over the Stars in the inaugural Eastham Energy All-Star Game in Phoenix. Not surprisingly, the 5-11, 180-pound Means was named the game’s defensive MVP, while Arizona State WR Brandon Smith, who had all of 1 reception in 2010 and was probably in the game only because he’s a local product, was named offensive player of the game after he rang up over 100 receiving yards that included a 54-yard TD reception from Ole Miss QB Jeremiah Masoli.
