As much as I like what Hankins did, I’m wondering how much A’Shawn Robinson will cost? Another stout run-defender and 3 years younger…

You will get a washed up Micheal Brockers and be expected to like it.

Its been next up for 7 years. Nothing ever gets done. The first big blow to improving the run defense took a huge hit when they resigned LVE. And that is for 2 years by the way. Thats basically improving NOTHING there for 2 years.

I mean Hankins I can live with but their obsession with Watkins being a legit starter is laughable.

At NT would prefer to re-sign Hankins and draft another run stuffer in the 3rd or 4th round.
Would still like to upgrade at 3T; Diggy is a good, solid role player but need a difference-maker that can get after the QB.
Not sure how this draft is looking as far as 3Ts...

They've mostly neglected the run defense in the past, but even you have to admit the Hankins trade made a difference in the playoffs.
I don't think McCarthy and Quinn are content to neglect the run defense.

Gilmore allows us to focus on interior line in the draft. Some decent guys should be there at the end of round 1.

Calijah Kancey is interesting as a Aaron Donald type. He's just as small as Donald though.

There are typically DT gems to be found throughout the draft. It's the scouts and FO that have to step up and make the right pick. Dallas has done well over the last couple years building a good D. Now they have to draft the right guy to stop the run.

You don’t just need run defense you need preoup the middle to disrupt plays

Hankins is decent but he can’t do that . We need Hankins and a real DT which should have been Hargrave

This, you need 2, if you think it is just one needed then the problem hasn’t been fixed.

A lot of fans would roll their eyes but re-signing Hankins and/or Watkins makes sense. The run defense was much better when they were in there over guys like Bohanna and Gallimore.

Certainly at their cost last year. You can sign them for that just for roster insurance.

That’s not funny. We’re talking about a team that brought back Jason witten. Tyrone Crawford was better suited for a 3-4 End and was simply a try hard player not a needle mover. Aka an overpaid Nick Hayden.

Hankins should be an easy signing. If I can get another guy in addition to him like an A-Shawn Robinson I do it. I’m okay signing LVE if it means I get both those guys.
