We all know this needs to happen, so no need to beat a dead horse. The reason for this post is just to see what options are even out there (frankly other then Bill Polian, and Eric Mangini I don't know any other GM's looking for a job.) With that being said, who is even out there that you believe would want to be the first real post-JJ GM?

Option 1:
Jerry Jones

Option 2:
Jerry Jones

Option 3:
Jerry Jones

Welcome to the Jones Dynasty. Up next for the throne, Stephen Jones.

What's the point of discussing something that has no shot of happening? Jerry isn't ever stepping down. He'll be our GM until the day he dies.

because this is a message board... and message boards discuss topics...

isn't that the point of this?

But it has no chance of happening. I don't see the point. Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but it just seems pointless.

Fine, Whatever.

Honestly, for the sake of this season, I think the new offensive coordinator discussion has more merit.

Eric DeCosta from Baltimore would be a good candidate. Been with the Ravens nearly two decades and is now the assistant GM to Newsome.

Kevin Abrams from the Giants. John Dorsey of the Packers.

All three would be on my short list.

This thread does serve a little more purpose than other GM threads by actually asking - what are the options?

this thread got me excited like there is actually a chance of this happening.

The first real post JJ GM is likely in college or still playing football. I don't see JJ giving up the reigns for 10 - 15 years.

i think its public knowledge that DeCosta is the heir apparent and will wait for that Ravens spot to open up, if not i'd be very intersted in his talents.

What he said!

This one is easy:

Elliot Wolf -- Ron Wolf's son.

He is the Packer's Director of Pro Personnel.

He is 30 years old, is considered a wunderkid.

He has been working NFL drafts since age 10 -- see the following excerpted text:
"He’s also worked 20 consecutive Packers drafts (since 1993), and nine NFL scouting internships — five with the Packers, three with the Atlanta Falcons and one with the Seattle Seahawks. Wolf has attended 20 consecutive NFL scouting combines.

Those internships and prior “unofficial” experiences have provided significant knowledge. Wolf, for example, is familiar with the history of every NFL player, having prepared Packers’ details for every draft since 1993.

The 30-year-old Wolf filed his first report at age 14 for the Falcons, and has provided valuable information for the Packers’ pro personnel department during previous internships."
The Packers have been jealously guarding him the last few years by promoting him and not allowing other teams to talk to him. He is expected replacement of Ted Thompson when Thompson retires in 2-3 years.

Go this this kid and you have a GM for the next 20 years.

Lee, Carter, Smith, Murray, Dez(?), Claiborne, Carr........These are all pro bowl caliber talent that has been brought in the last 3 years. Young talent. Im not diappointed with the talent he has brought in of late.

My biggest issue with him of late is his head coaching choices. Dont like em. Not with hall of fame SB coaches sitting at home or in the booth. I also have a big issue with the way him and Garrett have back handed the Oline and its importance. Now if They go out and fix the Oline next year, I wont complain. But its not going to be possible to do it in one year.
