I really think the MLB has hit a homerun with their attention to what goes on in the crowd during down time.

I've started noticing a FAR greater amount of fan videos coming out from the MLB and a lot of them are really cool.

There was one last week when a little boy was absolutely upset and the announcers sent him some gear to cheer him up.

The MLB may not be the most appealing in terms of season long attention but they've sure got the fan relationship aspect on lock.

Definitely one thing I like about MLB is being able to go to the ballpark and have a good time. Tickets are cheaper than other sports and you don't feel a need to devote 100% of your attention to the game. If the team wins and your favorite slugger hits a homer all the better. If the team loses there will be another game tomorrow.
