Geoff Swain would be a good return addition as the blocking tight end we need.
I'm not saying we should sign Swaim, but in fairness, he's only 26, and the OP wasn't talking about him as a high impact player, he was just talking about him as a blocking TE.Why? We know what he is. An aging JAG. Guy was never a difference maker. Time to keep moving on.

He would be great for the running game

Certainly as a #3 guy I would have no problem with Swaim. Maybe even #2 if he is able to stay healthy, but I think I would look at all possible options before making that choice. We are going to need 3 TE's, and like you said, what do people expect from depth players? For a vet minimum deal, I’d have no issues. What do people expect of our #2 or #3 tight end?

Jarwin might be one of the best prospects at tight end they’ve had and they didn’t have to waste a second rounder on him. I hope get left with Garrett. It’s funny when it was time to invest a second rounder in one in Goedert they claimed they didn’t want him anyway when he got taken......I'd like to see one more guy signed prior to the draft, if for no other reason than to eliminate the possibility of the team doing something stupid again and taking one high in the draft.
Pretty much every Special Teams unit and 4 - 7 plays as regular TE..For a vet minimum deal, I’d have no issues. What do people expect of our #2 or #3 tight end?
