George Pickens looks like he doesn't care

The issue is if he gives up playcalling you really have to question what he actually does….

He brought in a sr assistant in pettine to help your DC….you already have an OC doing the grunt work all week for the offense. You downgrade his involvement with the offense and he’s a walk around HC that can’t help either side of the football.
Many head coaches don't call plays. Lessing things for a head coach sometimes works. Tomlin and many others did not call plays and their teams did well.

George Pickens looks like he doesn't care. And you see why the Steelers wanted to get rid of him
Dallas doesn't seem to even look at Pickens so if you are not going to use him, trade him. And hell, don't re-sign him

Rashan Gary is invisible and especially playing against his former team. And like the Steelers, the Packers were
happy to get rid of Gary. But Jerry trades his best player to a Packers trash in Gary. And even Kenny Clark,
is did make some players against his former team, seems average at best.

Caleb Downs, who Dallas fans were so excited, as they were when Lamb was traded, to be the Savior. SB chants after being drafted. Downs is getting toasted and a player so good at Ohio State, looks like a 3rd round pick in Dallas.
Coaching and GM is a massive problem. And there is no fixing the second part.
It's easy to look good when you play at a football factory like Ohio St and 95% of your games are against lesser opponents. This inflates your talent because you are going against inferior opponents so often.

I noticed that too, he goes through the motions especially when he's not involved in the play.

Seems like he can mentally check out when he's not involved. Something about wide receivers and being divas or head cases.
I was watching AJ Brown almost blow the game for the Pats yesterday.

I watched in person last night, and I could always tell when GP was not the first option. If I can tell, other NFL teams can surely tell.
Look at all receivers in the NFL, when they are not a part of the play. This behavior is common across the league.

Why would any receiver care when they have a QB with so many limitations. Dink is a joke!

It’s easier to play a position that you played in college versus putting him in the DB position.

Agreed, but what else is Schottenheimer doing? I’m all for a true walk around HC, Schotty just doesn’t seem to be that guy though.

To me, it looked like nobody cared last night. The entire team looked lifeless, like they're just going through the motions. There doesn't appear to be any emotion or energy in their play.

This was one of the big red flags myself and a few others had coming into the year. Downs isn’t a slot DB….hes a safety who can move down into the slot at times. Big difference, and it’s caused the cowboys to not use him as the Swiss Army knife that maximizes his abilities. You put him in a position to be a true cover corner type and he’s going to get beat.

This is an example of the cowboys failing a young player.

The problem is the QB who is always looking for CeeDee first, even when Ceedee is double and tripled covered before he looks Pickens' way. This could be the play calling but I think a lot of it falls on Dak. Every time Dak is in trouble, under pressure, he throw in CeeDee's direction. He even holds the ball too long sometimes waiting for CeeDee to break open. Dak needs to look other places when the coverage dictate it and if Pickens is getting one on one coverage he has a good chance of making a play.
