June 6th. First event ever in the new stadium.

I've always wanted to see him play, and never have. Now with it in the new stadium, it gives me a perfect excuse to check it out. I think I'm going to buy some tickets and go.

Anyone else going?

I would like to go to that concert...

I've seen George four or five times. He has GREAT concerts, but some will always leave disappointed as there is no way he can sing all of his hits...

When you have 50+ number one hits, many are going to be left out, and he will likely be promoting new material...

If you are a Strait fan and not a particular song fan, you won't be disappointed... and he usually has a big name special guest come on stage at his big concerts. Last time I saw him at Texas Stadium he did a couple of songs with Alan Jackson...

Old Troubadour is a GREAT song.

DallasCowpoke is going. I'm jealous of anyone who is. George Strait is one of my absolute all time favorites.

My niece has tickets, and might take me if her friend can't go.. I hate country music, so the only reason I would go is to walk around, and check out the new stadium, and possibly take pics. :D

Picking out a favorite George Strait song is like.....well....picking out a favorite George Strait song. The man is incredible.

Top 5 artist of all time, no matter the genre of music in my book.

I've always felt country music made a turn towards a modern feel (In a Positive way) when George came around. He made it fun again and appealing to non-country music fans as well...

I'll be there....but probably won't be in my seat too much!! :D

Did anyone see the tribute to George Strait on TV the other night?

Very good. All of the top country singers took turns singing a George Strait song.

Then there was Jamie Foxx, who stole the show with "You look so good in love."

Exactly... those that don't like him, haven't listened to him... he is amazing...

He also does the occasional Sinatra type song and he does it well...

He is sheer greatness...
