Stephen feels good about the offseason: It really came together good for us

When has Stephen not felt good about the football team? He certainly won’t admit it the times he hasn’t. He and Jerry are like listening to a broken record. The offensive side of the ball does look better but the defense is still a big concern.

While technically true, it’s a little misleading. That is a Forbes list and they calculate from May to May. Since Dak restructured in March and got upfront money, he essentially got 2 seasons of paychecks included.

They have his on field dollars at $127M and off field dollars at $10M for a $137M total.

I was trying to figure that out also. No accountability and the non-stop excuse making at the top has just plagued this team for decades. It's why these dopes think they know how to run a football team and think they fool others into thinking they do as well. Thankfully they seem to have let the scouts and coaches back into the front seat a little this year so hopefully we don't crash and burn again.

I'll give him Dak because when your QB misses half the year and you get him back you get to make that statement and having your starting QB back is huge. But who else? He said "all the guys". He is acting like all of our starters missed the entire season. He has made this excuse so many times for how horribly this team failed last year that he doesn't even remember the season. Every NFL team has injuries and yeah we were hit worse than most last year. Bland was back the last half of the year. Guys like Micah and Kneeland missed time but it's not like they missed much and they were back by the end of the year. Diggs and Overshown missed the last few games but they aren't "back". Does he even follow his own team?

You are eternally optimistic and only see the negative when you have to accept it was there. I don't remember you thinking last year was lame duck going into the season. Now, we're going into a new season and you are all bright lights again.

I'm glad that works for you, but it doesn't mean the rest of us are going to buy into it until we see it. I want all of our moves to work out, but it rarely works that way, especially with the cheap ones. We'll see how it goes.

Not signing Henry wasn’t about tanking. Tanking woukd be a plan and Jerry is more of a wing it guy. If they were tanking Rush would have been the backup
