looking at our CB depth is kinda frightening especially due to T-News recent injury history. i remember reading something about Sensabaugh covering WRs in games and doing an ok job, specifically against Hines Ward. has anybody heard anything about using Sensabaugh as the fourth or maybe even third CB (in case of injury) in certain situations? now that Deangelo Smith is gone we dont have that swing player that play both positions. Alan Ball is average at best imo, and i dont trust him being our nickel corner for a long period of time. what do you think?

Alan Ball is better in coverage than any of the safeties. He'll be fine as the fourth corner.

Alan Ball has looked good at Safety and has been ok as a corner.

He is a perfect 4th corner imo and a year ago I was upset that we kept him over Oglesby but looking back on it I think they made the right decision.

He is one of the most underrated players on this team I think.

I think you need to rewatch the Tampa Bay game of a year ago.

I agree Sensabaugh will be matched up with WR's in passing situations w/ Hamlin playing centerfield. Don't forget Buehler can play CB in a second

After reading some of Campo's comments you have to wonder if manning up Sensabaugh on a WR isn't a possibility. He noted that he liked the way that Gerald was similar to Woody, in that respect. Now, I'm not saying that Sensabaugh is any Darren Woodson, but Campo has coached both players and noticed a resemblence in their respective games.

I agree. I think they have this very thing in mind. At least in a pinch. I don't think he'd be a long term solution there, but it helps on game day when you only bring 4 corners.

I think we will be fine. Like I said in another thread, it's not like we are facing the Colts here. The Bucs are a smash-mouth, run first team. I'm sure we will stack the box for most of the game, and probably won't even need more than 3 CB's on the field at the same time. In this scenario, Ball would be the reserve.

And should the Bucs decide to spread the ball, I'm sure we can handle the likes of Antonio Bryant and Michael Clayton just fine.

Then after week one is gone, the team may sign a veteran when it is cheaper to do so, but I see no dire need to do that right now.
