Gerald Sensabaugh

Yep, he was a difference maker yesterday. Dont remember last time that was said about a member of the secondary in a positive way.

Hamlin made a play yesterday for the 1st time in over a year.

Nice break on a pass attempt to Gonzalez...

I'm really, really glad we signed this guy. Reminds me a bit of Teague.

another thing that i like about sensy is in his interviews he seems to be a very smart, articulate guy, which i allways think is a plus.. i remember seeing jamarcus russell in a interview before the draft, and he is as dumb as a box of rocks.. i told all my friends then i didn't think he could be an NFL player.
i think smart players are what round out a team.. look at brooking, romo, witten, ware, brady james, newman, lots of others.. all appears to be very smart, articulate guys. and i think that makes a big difference..

obviously there are exeptions, choice doesn't seem to be the most articulate guy. but i love me some choice..

Frankly I thought Hamlin played a good game yesterday as well.
Better, I still wouldn't call it good.

I would also ask Hamlin to take a paycut or leave too.

I desperately want to upgrade his position. I don't think he is 100% into the game mentally.
I agree that he's not there mentally. After one of the long runs the Falcons had, I think it was that backup #44 whatever his name is...and he ran out of bounds, Hamlin was smiling and laughing. What a candy-***.

He's a good cover safety. I'd like to see M Hamlin work out as the SS and have Sensabaugh play the FS. I realize there's not a lot of difference in our safeties but the FS does have a little more freedom generally to make plays.

Can we agree on better? :laugh2:

Haha sure. Unfortunately, solid for him is wayy up from where he has been.

He had four interceptions last season. It would be nice if he could get one for us.

I agree but hopefully he can get back to playing to a level he has shown before. Sometimes I think when guys around you start making plays it pushes others to get into the act. Like many I have been disappointed in Hamlin mainly because I know he is capable of more because he has shown that before.

Sensabaugh plays hard, which is more than I can say for Hamlin and the guy who played Sensabaugh's position previously.

I'm more concerned about the CBs. Bryan Broadus is on GAC right now talking about the biggest negative from yesterday, the CB play. He said something to the effect that it was worse than it looked except for Jenkins, but the play of the others covered up how bad the other CBs were. Newman was awful, and he thinks that the NYG game shook Scandrick's confidence so that he isn't the same player right now.

Yet on NFL network last night talked of how well they played? Go figure.

Might take a bit longer with that cast in his way.

Yeah had a big break up of a pass to Gonzalez. Did not say great game but I did not see Alt hit any big passes down field on us so he was not allowing the WR to get behind him. I want to see more out of him or see him replaced if someone else can do better but I don't think he had a bad game.

I would trust Broadus over anything that ESPN or NFL Network has to say.

He usually has no dogs in a fight and calls it the way he see's it on the tape.

He has never been that high on Jenkins though and always thought Scandrick was the better player.

Has not been high on Jenkins and his opinion should be more trusted? Dallas gave up less than 200 yards passing I have a hard time calling the play of the secondary as a negitive. Jenkins and Scandrick both got picks in the game and Sensabaugh was all over the place. Sorry left out the fact that Roddy White had 6 catches for only 50 yards and Gonzalaz for 37 yards on 4 catches.

But he did say that Jenkins was playing good yesterday and he has also gave Jenkins credit in the past when he thought he played well.

I just feel like I can get an unbiased opinion from him regarding how a player performed.
