a very simple move that will pay huge dividends. as great a kicker folk is, he has no business kicking off. when you finish dead LAST in a category (touchbacks) it is time for a change. A KO specialist automatically improves the coverage units. so it takes a roster spot, big freakin deal. i would much rather have it than a 10th OL who never plays (joe berger was huge for us this year wasn't he).

If we had a coverage team that could cover Folk might be free to bomb it as far as he can. Every time he tried it this year we allowed a big return.

Is this the handy work of the ST coach?? Or is he really just that bad of a kickoff kicker?

That is partially true.

Brad sham points out every game, Nick Folk is instructed to kick it between the numbers and the sideline, he has no say in the matter.

He is not allowed to just boom it deep, it is a strategy, between the numbers and the sideline.

Kick off specialist? Hell no, make that SOB learn how to kickoff properly!

Or maybe, just maybe, Read could stop being a ****** and stop telling him to try and kick it between the sideline and the numbers in an attempt to corner it into the endzone or corner the return man to one side.

That stupid strategy by the ST coach caused Folk to kick several out of bounds this year.
