Get Aggressive!

Denzel Mims at 17? I just made a post in another thread that he might be the #3 WR in this class, whats your thought?

Gosh no. He ran one of the most limited route trees in college football and has one of the higher contested catch rates of WR prospects over the past 2 years. For as good of an athlete as he is, he’s not a separator because he’s not a good route runner.

I’d consider him in the 2nd, but think their will be much better prospects available.

The more and more I think about it, I believe this is the draft to get aggressive. 17 is just about the area where the talent drops off. Someone may fall someone may not. It reminds me a lot of the 2013 draft when the cowboys absolutely bailed and didn’t get the trade value they should have.

It ended up working out great with Frederick being the pick. The Cowboys have to be more prepared entering this draft. They have to operate under the assumption that all there top players will be off the board.

It’s very possible the consideration at 17 would come down to guys like Diggs or Fulton. I think we all are of the same opinion that this would be a decent pick but probably in the mid 20s and not at 17. This leads into my point.

Go get your guy! SF at 13 would be a great spot to trade up. They have a good amount of needs and very little draft selections. Go up and get your Kinlaw, Brown, Chaisson or one of the WRs.

It is somewhat forgivable if you get aggressive and your pick doesn’t work out rather than to sit, wait, pick a player that doesn’t fit value and doesn’t work out as well. I don’t want this to be the “what could have been draft.”

Let me know what you guys think and who you would go up for.

I would go up 5 spots for either Kinlaw or Brown. Immediate impact, incredibly important position, and a position that has longevity.
