The Rams, and other teams, will study the Titans game and see how the Cowboys have gone to a run-based strategies. I suspect the Rams' D-coordinator will come out with a game plan primarily designed to stop the run. So then we burn their butts with play action. We still do plenty of runs, of course. This O-line and Murray have shown they can run even when the opposing D is playing run. However, Romo, Dez, and Witten excel at play action. In the past, they've done a great job at the timing of that type of play. We get a lot of defenders focusing in on Murray and that will open up the field for Dez, Witten, Beasley, or whoever. I would love to see them burn'em good with play action.

And stick with this run approach. I'm liking what I'm seeing. I was screaming for this strategy last season. I have no doubt we would have won at least two more games last season if we had utilized the run better.

Against the Niners, all 3 INTs were in play-action where Romo's eyes are initially off the field.

Yes but the OP is correct we can and should use it now that the league sees how we can run it down their throats. One game does not make the season.

Our play action passing has looked horrid.

I think Romo can't take his eyes off the coverage at this point or he'll just turn it over.

I would like to see a better screen game.

If Dallas ran that play that Denver runs to Demaryius Thomas to Dez Bryant it would obliterate teams when they play up on the run.

If Rams come out with a game plan to stop the run, we will get to see how Linehan can / will adjust to move the ball. Hopefully get more TD's, than FG's.

Yes, always can be better at screens.
Play action was horrible against SF, but didn't it do better against Titans/
I'm not sure how many plays they used on it though.

The beauty is that they may game plan to stop it but our Oline may have other plans.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the coaching staff reacts when teams decide they're not going to allow us to run.

First let's see if Murray is still kryptonite for the DL. Next I'd love to see this where Dunbar and Murray are used in space more to offset their pass rush.

We can't approach the rest of the season paranoid that Tony will be as bad as he was in the 9er game. If he's that bad, we would be better off benching him in favor of Weeden. But he won't be. That was one bad game. This team has been good at play action before and can do so again. On the other hand, I'm not opposed to screens either. Do whatever works.

I suspect also that Williams will be activated from the practice squad due to the injury to Randle. I would be glad to see him do some of the running so as not to wear out Murray.

I'm loving having a thread based on the fact that we can run the ball and are running the ball! It beats the hell out of all of those "Why aren't we running?" threads last season.

He had bad cones of observation on the three passes, and didn't account for peripheral defenders on the edges of his cone.
