I don't know. The Bronco's are in pretty good shape at the QB spot. They drafted Paxton Lynch as their future QB but Trevor Siemian looks pretty good. The Bronco's are 7-4 and just an eyelash, that's how close last night's game was, from being 8-3. If Romo is traded to Denver, Jones is going to get a decent draft pick back and Denver has to eat that salary cap hit. Why give up a draft pick on a late 30's something and injury prone QB and take a salary cap hit when you have a productive QB and what you think is your future QB on the roster. I don't think I make that deal unless the salary cap hit is minimal and I can get Romo for basically nothing.
I agree, I live in Denver and follow the Broncos pretty closely, even though I root against them, and every thing you hear suggests they are content with their QB situation. That may change come play off time, but I think Elway is focused on the long term as well as the short term.
They were pretty desperate for a QB when Manning was available because of Tebow and moving on from Cutler a few years previously so it made a ton of sense to pay him. This team is different, Siemen is playing decent, they have Lynch and in my opinion the offensive line is a much bigger issue. They can't run Kubiak's offense very well without being able to run the ball more effectively. Kubiak prefers to run an offense more similar to what Dallas is doing this year, run the ball, use it to open up slants / crossing routes, bootlegs and play action to take some shots down field and you can't do that when you can't block anyone.
