yea me and my dad rewound it like 3 times to see who he was yelling at...apparently the security guy ?? who was just doing his job ? i dunno...sometimes Witten gets fired up and turns from Captain America to Captain Insano !!

That's what I'm thinking as well. He has already hit a cheerleader and the security guy was well beyond the area where he was supposed to be and had his back to the field. He was standing near the sidelines and he's supposed to be closer to the fan seats.

You have to give Witt a pass on that outburst. It was the 3rd time he'd ran into someone along the sidelines. First the cheerleader, and the 2nd was the play right before the outburst.

I'm surprised that people feel negatively about his yelling that. When I first heard it my admiration for Witten grew even more. Maybe I'm desensitized concerning cursing or something. To me it showed that he was fired up and was all about winning that game and people kept getting too close and in is way and he was telling them like it was. I have never seen Witten as a goody Mr. nice guy type. He's a competitor and goes all out, emotional outbursts are part of that.

I wouldn't expect him to stand there and say "Gee, sir, I'd sure appreciate it if you would stand back a little farther as I'm afraid I might run into you again."

Towards the end of the game he ran into someone on the sidelines for the third time and he screamed it to the guy and someones mic picked it up. Can be heard clear as day.

Might have been thinking that it would be better for her to land on him rather than get knocked onto the ground face first.

He knew he was going to hit her. She's about 100 pounds, so even if he brushes her lightly, she's going down. He wanted to break her fall to avoid injuring her. That's my take.

He was trying to protect her. He pulled her down with him as gently as he could and then shielded her. I think he was worried the Dolphin player was going to hit her.
