Getting better quickly requires a change in off-season strategy. Will our FO do it?

How quick is 'QUICKLY'? Youre proposing an assessment of your current talent and even suggesting cutting Diggs (which only really serve to lessen the current talent) and then dismissing the central issues:
1) Whether Jerry's even capable of doing it
2) Dak. there's this perplexing opinion that Dak is a Franchise QB and we need to win now.....just let it go....we arent winning in the next two years
3) We have CAP.....BUT SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE. These other teams are as bereft as us at multiple areas, they can focus on 1 or 2 players (and offer success).
Id argue there is no QUICK fix, indeed the QUICK fix could of happened this time last year (trading: Osa, DLaw, Zack, J-Lew).
I agree I don't believe we can win quickly.
I'm not even going to say it's Prescott's talent level when he is healthy he can get us to the playoffs but the problem is he can't stay healthy and age does not help that.

It's not like we're asking him to run 10 or 15 times a game this last injury he tears his hamstring off the bone just throwing the ball not a good sign as to how his health is going.
That said this mistake just has to run its course but the team can be rebuilt properly while it does which means fix the trenches develop a quarterback and then add the skill positions last.

And hope by then that the commanders and the eagles are on the downswing and we have gained enough ground to be able to compete.

Well that’s what Hurts per year contract avg is. Sure it’s not what he’s getting paid each year just like Dak averages $60 mil a year but won’t be paid that each year.

You’re actually agreeing with my point that it’s all about contract structure. The eagles are good at it. Our FO either isn’t or chooses not to.
It's still a Jerry AND Dak issue. Dak's insistence of 4 years, the 2024 performance and his age has resulted in a hard CAP hit no further than 2029 (and dont forget Dak's previous contract is still accruing $40m against the CAP). Conceivably, Hurts could be further extended, or equally could be cut. Eagles are good at SUBTRACTING and building, Jerry wont do that and lets be fair the vast majority of comments on here are looking at BUILDING, when seriously we should be starting again and tearing it down.....we as fans are as culpable as Jerry for this annual relevancy.
Jerry restructures, he's just too conservative and NOW isnt the time to start, on such a short time scale (around Dak), and from such a low starting point talent wise. Tear it down, accept that we dont have the foundations to win (especially if our definition of winning is a Championship/SB game).

Agree, but the Dak point is that some hold onto this perception that Dak is some kind of saviour that we should be building around. No, Dak is good when he has the amount of talent around him, as he did in 2023. We dont have it, unlikely to have it even if we spend this mythical $100m (as if all 31 teams are just going to allow us to buy every available FA), we still wont be in win mode (especially when we've got a new and untested coaching team).
If Dak was a difference maker, then there may be an a discussion to have, but he's not and spending on this 'win quickly' idea, which presumably will be made upon short term contracts = CAP issues in the future is likely to be catastrophic....it's like going ALL-IN on a 'pair'.

No quick fix......make some improvements, if they are for the long term then see what Schotts scemes, Daks health/performance is before deciding anything.

You're seriously undervaluing him. Edge rushers are in high demand all over the NFL. Only thing that would drop him down to getting a 3,3 would be if we pay him huge, then that might be the case.
It’s not that Parsons isn’t valuable. First round draft picks are more valuable.
