Getting close to me not being able to stand listening to a Cowboy game called by Aikman and Buck

I'm kinda with the OP. Actually I'm tiring of Troy. he's so over the top anti-homer it's almost like he's in on the joke the NFL has played on this team for years. Nary a mention on Carr's bogus illegal contact and barely a mention on TWill's obvious PI, yet pounds to death every Cowboys miscue and overly agreeable to ticky tack fouls called on us.

Didn't Aikman disagree on the illegal contact?

I think they do a great job personally. He took up for us on several occasions which he didn't do a lot of in the past. He's doing his job correctly. Now if you listen to him when he's off station and in Dallas doing Dallas interviews, he's pro Cowboys.

Good post. There is not much to add to this.

Disagree with op. Aikman is just calling the game how he sees it and to be honest, I like that he is neutral as an ex player

Just turn down the sound and listen to Brad Sham and Babe Laufenberg do the game on the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network. And if you don't live in a city that has a Dallas Cowboys Radio Network affiliate, get Sirius/XM and go to the live play-by-plays from Brad and Babe for every Cowboys game.
Where do you find that? I have Sirius/XM but I live here in Beaumont (90 miles from Houston). I did not know you could listen to NFL games. Please help if you can...

yes he did, but (and here comes the ridicule for myself) it's the volume level of opinion that gets turned down and makes the big calls that go against Dallas an afterthought for anyone not a Cowboys fan. He's all onboard with definitive objection one way, but yeah I thought they were going to throw a flag here on so and so, but you can see here that.... the two are fighting for position and there's contact between ". If that's Nicks or Cruz going up for a ball and Scandrick is wrapped around his hips and shoulders it's " I don't know how a flag isn't thrown here as you can see that Carr has one arm barred and his other hand is wrapped around Randle's hips before the ball arrives..."

Airman is no longer ours and is currently possessed by the devil that is the NFL media.

Buck is the worst. I'd prefer Al Michaels, and he's another Cowboys hater.

Aikman annoyed me in this game. One Romo pass sailed, but Troy didn't notice or point out it was because he had a Giant at his feet and couldn't follow through properly. I was actually yelling at him several times.

Ever notice how Buck implies there should be a penalty? He shouts 'And there are no flags'. Must've done that four times yesterday- on positive Cowboys plays, natch. Hate Buck. Hate hate hate.

Buck is a weasel, doesn't matter what he's covering, he's just annoying.

There were a couple of times Troy went overboard. One example was the Dez non-catch at the 6yd line. I love Troy calling games but he needs to be separated from Buck.

The other example was the roughing the passer call on Romo. They went on and on about shots to the head but never mentioned the guy got there late.

I don't really mind them as a team, at least not as much as a lot of people in here, but agree that Troy would be better with somebody else. One of their features is they never disagree with each other -- they play off of each other. Troy will almost always begin with something like, "Yeah, I think that's exactly right..." So if Joe feeds him stupid stuff, Troy does his best with it.

Troy does a good job. People just over react. Buck on the other hands is not that good.

I think this forum as a whole would be a lot happier with Michael Irvin sliding in for Troy when the Cowboys play, but for a National Broadcast team that is supposed to give perspective from both sides I think Aikman and Buck do a pretty good job overall. I never walk away thinking what a meanie that Troy Aikman is to my Cowboys.

Sorry really just believe this is your eveyrday case of "If he doesn't agree with what I think, he's an ignorant hater, if he believes the same as me, he's an intelligent and good sports announcer/media guy".

A HUGE trend on this forum btw.

I think Troy calls it like he sees it, but I wouldn't care if he went out of his way some to be "objective." If there's one thing I can't stand it's homers in the booth. Any of you ever have the pleasure of listening to Sonny and Sam in DC or the idiots in Portland who do the Blazers games? Joe Theezman, anybody?

No, I'm glad Troy is a professional. There's a reason he's the #1 guy on FOX Sundays and the other guys are doing local radio.

The funny thing is fans for other teams say he is a Cowboy homer

yup, most Cowboys fans whine about him, Other teams fans whine about him, tells me he's doing a great job..I think he's one of the best in the booth with Moose and Collinsworth not far behind, and I'd say that even if they never played for the Cowboys..

I feel Troy tries a little too hard not to show bias, though he loves the Cowboys. I'm not down in Dallas, but I get the impression from people on here thatTroy, on his radio appearances down there, is way more of a 'fan' than when working for FOX.
