Getting into the Playoffs gives us a CHANCE

A loss by the Bucs OR Falcons today gives us ONE LAST CHANCE to control our own destiny by beating Phily (my most hated rival) to get into the NEW season (playoffs). Although it doesn't look good if we get in, at least we have a chance and as a fan, that's all we can hope for.

Here's the thing... You never know, if we win a playoff game and then get creamed in the next round AT LEAST we would've got that "Playoff losing monkey" off of our backs and by the way this season has gone, that would be a MAJOR sucess with this current team this year (players & coachces)... GO COWBOYS!!!

You always want your team in the playoffs. Anyone on this board saying they don't is lying.

What happens if the Cowboys do make it and they win their first game? All of a sudden, the Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl in the eyes of a lot of fans on here.

I know you guys are disappointed with losing yesterday but there isn't one of you that will keep your T.V. off if the Cowboys are playing in the playoffs. And you will be very excited to watch it.

This one definetely stings though.

We just found ways to lose last night and it seems like it is a re-occuring thing.

Its a travesty Texas Stadium went out like that. It makes me hate this team today.

I'll try and love them tomorrow but right now I hate them.

Thanks for bringing a bit of sense over here to the twilight zone. :laugh2:

I have a hard time even posting in the sea of idiocy after a loss. But that's something I'd say, for sure.

After what we saw last night, what team do you think we could beat in the playoffs?

Maybe Arizona, but I think anyone else (including the Giants) would pretty much run us off the field. If we get in (which I doubt, because I think Philly is going to blow us out) I just dont see this team having much success. The QB might need a few days off again to jaunt down to Mexico so he wont be prepared, the team will probably still commit too many penalties and miss key tackles. The special teams will continue to haunt us. None of that is changing.

You're also forgetting about Garrett's overall crappyness as an OC.

I'm thinking fluke comes to mind.

When you dont score a Touchdown it aint a fluke.

Sorry.

Dallas is a hell of a team. They are just dumb at times.

too dumb and inconsistent to win big games, and playoff games are big games

Like I said its not going to matter though...unless Philly somehow blows it today or has a rash on major injuries, they are going to bury us next weekend.

yep...i clowned to "cowboy fans" who said they dont want the cowboys to go....saying they dont deserve to get in. If 10 and six gets you in then you deserve to get in. Period!, and if you dont want them there then are you really a fan.

Dallas wont get burried as long as Romo is playing and the defense can keep up what they have been doing outside of the 70 yard runs.

We will just find a crazy way to lose if anything.

...and MB3's pansiness as a RB. It's a freaking pinky toe...Emmitt Smith played with his arm ripped out of the socket. Give me a break.

There is no denying that we are a poorly coached team. This thing trickles down from the coaching staff to the players and it shows when we make so many DUMB mistakes every damn game. We have talent and we can beat just about anyone in the league on a good day... unfortunatly, we can lose to just about anyone as well when we have a bad game with many mistakes. Our mistakes cost us some games this season and will cost us in the playoffs if we make - but I'm still yelling, "GO COWBOYS!!!"

Weren't the Giants 10 and 6 last year? I mean hell, I would take a regular season record like that if it gets us to S/B. Whoever says if we get in we don't deserve it, is just thinking with a mad mellon right now. The ones that don't deserve being in the playoffs will be at home watching cartoons.

Imagine this scenario and how Cowboy fans would feel if it happened despite them saying the Cowboys don't belong.

The Cowboys win next week and end up in the playoffs as the sixth seed. The Giants win this week and next. The Cowboys are 10-6 while the Giants are 13-3. Sound familiar?

The Cowboys win their first playoff game and visit the Meadowlands in the divisional round.

I wonder what Cowboy fans will be saying at that time.

Amen. This is probably the most volatile group of fans in history. Romo was a warrior who came up big in a tough, huge game last week. Showed heart and poise in what, one mediot said, would be a "career-defining game". I guess now he's horrible again despite two huge clutch drives that had them in position to come back and win last night. He may have had a few bad passes last night, but he made some one-man-show type of plays throughout the game while under constant pressure. We're just so spoiled with that crap that we take it for granted. We had NUMEROUS missed opportunities and, of course, some bad penalties. Thanks again Ed for that ridiculous personal foul that gave them a FG. Refs certainly didn't lose this for us, but like so many other times they just make it harder. If anyone wants a goat, look at Hamlin. He almost single-handedly gave them the game. What a shame. Now I'm rambling. Go Vikings and go Chargers!!!
