The thing is..

I want to put this game against Carolina behind us.

So at this point I am writing it off as a badly played 5th preseason game.

It's obvious the starters were rusty and the new guys got their first dose of real Sunday football and they struggled.

The defense played well for 3 Qts but could not win the game themselves.

I have heard players say they only allow 24 hrs to deal with a game.

What do you guys do to get ready for the next game here on the Forum.

Drinking tequila is not a valid answer.

Well?

I don't think any team could afford to play a regular season game as a preseason game.....especially DAL. They always find a way to crap the bed. Let's hope it's the last one.

What should I do? Stop coming on here and reading negative crap. What do I do? Come on here and read negative crap. I guess I like misery. I liked the movie. This site is much like Cathy Bates with a sledge hammer lol

I want to see if the needed changes happen. From last week to this week, we have to see if Garrett and Co can right the ship. So far, and ive said this and hes backed me on this Garrett abandons the run. someone is going to have to stick with the run. They are going to have to get the ball in someones hands to keep the defense honest. If they cant get Dak going, if they cant get the running game going, what are they doing? what are they looking for.

It all starts with that OL and if that coach cant get it right the house of cards goes down. Get those guys to push people around. Get 1 lane up for Zeke and let him and his group get going. Rod Smith ran one good one, didnt see him again. It was abysmal performance and it starts with Garrett. JG also has to target weaknesses on opposing teams. I am getting tired of a team having a weakness and we go the opposite way.

Thats what i want to see.

Well?
Valid? Is that really important? Mind/mood altering products are an answer.

I get into the melee on Mon-Tues and vent with everyone else, try to talk some in off the ledge, try to push others off but I am the same win or lose, don't get to high or low but I do focus on the next game on Wed, even started a thread about it. They install their game plan on Wednesday, so I figure it's time to consider the next opponent and division games are my favorite so I really don't have a problem,

But I made the conscious decision to accept this for what it really is some years back, a game played by millionaires for my entertainment. I really do believe that fans take losses worse than the players and have much more emotionally invested in the games. So, if the participants treat it as a business, why should I allow the results to affect me?

The players didn't call the plays and the players didn't design the scheme. It goes WAY beyond the players being ready, although that was indeed another issue.

I'd like to see them make some changes to the offense. Two things I'd like to see is Zeke catching out of the backfield, not check down plays but designed plays that when he catches the ball he has space to do something with it or at least one able to catch a pass and turn around with time to see a defender coming. The second.thing I'd like to see is Austin used a heck of a lot more than ten snaps. We didn't give him time to work his man. Sometimes you have to play chess with your opponent and he's not being allowed to do that. He may get pushed out of bounds but he can still make plays. I feel like when I watch tyreke hill , we should used Austin the same way. He should run the same routes across the middle , out of the backfield, sweeps, etc. What ever hill does we should do the exact same thing. Austin is a weapon. We need to use Him. Again if we use.him like hill, man it will not only given the coaches and Austin cred it will spark the offense. We keep runnjng Austin up the field down the sideline. We need to watch hill and.copy to a T. I'd like to also use Gathers. His size.means he is open almost all the time. Most DBs are 6'0"to 6'1" he is 6'7" with long arms and hops. If we start doing these things along with the rum game. There will be a huge difference

Let's fight, what has been the most productive and consistent position on the field since 2016? Not the d line not the DBs not the WRs Not the RB...yup the oline. They are the only reason we still get respect

I'd like to see us try and make more plays where we get any of our guys in space on offense....but I agree with this 100%

the Oline gets respect because the media doesnt want to have an opinion. Most people go with "best line" and it hasnt. Lets be honest, you can pay less than the Cowboys did and get a better result. Thats just fact. and it seems the line hasnt been stable for a while year since Callahan left. Polk tried, ultimately failed. Now we have the next name in offensive lines, yes thats sarcasm, so far, nothig. Not all on him, but not getting the money thats been invested in the line. THe line has to go back to the basics, can it push people around or is everyone coming through?

The answers start up front. Make it work, or make Dak work a different way. Either way Dalllas once again has to play from behind the 8 ball.
